Comment, Flip Flops and Tunnels

Ann over at
https://annssnapeditscrap.blogspot.com/

mentioned that she had never read the book

series that started with Flowers in the Attic.

Ann if you like something to keep you at

the end of your seat, something confusing and

twisted this is a good series.

Saw this on FB this morn....LOVE IT.

And being a fan of the Wizard of Oz
and the beach, this was meant for me.

Remember back ....BLOGS ...
ago when I was posting about
historical homes in my area?
Just to let you know that I did
not touch on even half of those but
while scrolling FB yesterday I
landed on some other Nashville
history.

The pic above shows a partially
hidden tunnel near the Capitol, 1951.
Pic courtesy of TN State Library and Archives.

I had heard all through my state employement
that Nashville had a labyrinth of
tunnels under the streets of
Nashville.

You can read more about that
if you wish at the link
above.

Thanks for stopping in,
Pam

Those books all but made me physically ill. Yet I couldn't put them down. :P That tunnel system sounds fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't read anything in a while. I'll have to look for those books.
That would be pretty cool to find those tunnels and go explore.
Hmmm, we don't know those books either. I would like to explore those old tunnels though, but not in flip flops!

Tunnels under Nashville... Now, that's the basis of a novel or series of novels. Or, at least, it should be.
I am about ready to go to the beach! Weather surely hasn't been cooperating here. Oh I love historical home and would love to plan a trip to Savannah, which I've been too many times, but would like to plan a trip to visit the historical homes/plantations. I love the LOOKING part. Marty loves the history part. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

That Dorothy quote is perfect for you, Pam, as you love The Wizard of Oz. Wow, there a lot of history with this Nashville bridge. I love to read about old buildings and old towns. The town I'm living in actually is named after the first man that settled here. Have a wonderful week, Pam.
