One Year Later - Dobson Chapel Area

One year ago, March 3rd, Nashville was hit.

By tornados.
Driving down Central Pike I
noticed a piece of tarp still
hanging in the trees.

This one section is just five mins
from my home.

New built to replace homes
that were taken out.

This area is across from the
neighborhood. Just a year ago
an old school and a church stood
here. The church was  150
years old.

The church the day after.

The same subdivision as above.

Repairs came slow, so much of
Nashville was covered and then
COVID kicked in. With COVID
factory's were shut down and products
were not coming out for repairs.

Nashville STRONG!
We rebuild, we stand strong.

Has it been a year already, I remember your photos.
It's hard to believe it's been a year, it must seem longer though for those affected.

I hadn't thought about how the pandemic would effect repairs! Best wishes to all for a better coming spring.

Yes you do. Excellent. Let's hope it's another 150 years before there's another one.

Have a fabulous day, Pam. Scritches to the furbabes. ♥

Yeah, COVID came quickly about a year ago, at least for us. Looks like the rebuilding is going well. The 150 year-old church reminded me of something I heard. In the U.S., we think 100 years is a long time. In the U.K., they think 100 miles is a long distance.

That's sac to hear about a church that old being destroyed. Let's hope that this coming year will see much more forward progress

Gosh was that really a year ago. So sad about the buildings. If we had a big storm year it probably would remove our roof but our stone outer walls are so thick I doubt if they would go anywhere.
Hope you are well Diane

I remember that. It was near Rick's stepsister's home (they were OK) I' remember thinking about the Covid and repair and then again with all that and Texas and the storms inbetween. I hope all is coming back better.

this is so sad, so very heart wrenching!! what i am about to write is unbelievable. super storm sandy was in 2012, some homes have yet to be rebuilt, insurance problems, fema problems, it is safer than sad!!

COVID has impacted every part of our lives. another event we have lived through and will never forget!!
