and I totally love this 
movie. The music in 
this movie is what I call
my feel good music.
I play the CD and I can't
help but move....and I am 
no dancer. 

What an amazing actor!

Johnny is Dirty Dancing and
boy could he dance. I have always
wanted to have RHYME, but alas 
I did not acquire that talent. 
His mom was a choreographer, 
dance instructor, and dancer who
taught her son to dance.

In 1991 Patrick was named
Sexiest Man Alive by People
magazine. I can see that.

Another movie
that I loved that he was in 
was Ghost. He played an 
amazing cross dresser in 
To Wong Foo, Thanks for
Everything.. Julie Newmar. 

We lost Patrick in in 2007
at the age of 57 to cancer.
Such a loss.

Jennifer Gray

She played Francis AKA Baby in the movie.
She was also in another good movie,
Farris Buelers Day Off. Jennifer still conts
to act today at the age of 60. She was in 
the movie at the age of 27.

Yep, a lot of that great movie was filmed up the road from us in Lake Lure NC. They have a Dirty Dancing Festival each year. One of our friends was an extra in the many dancing scenes.

Dirty Dancing was/is one of my favourite movies, I have watched at least 6 or 7 times. I loved Patrick Swayze, it was so sad that he had to die so young. Our French neighbour looks so like him :-)))))) Enjoy your week, Diane

Oh the memories!! This was one of my favorite movies at the time...and still is. My brother in law worked on the movie and he gave me a huge official movie poster that I hung in my college dorm and then in my college house rental. I wish I still knew where it wasl...I also remember my sister got to go to the Golden Globes since the movie was up for awards. Very very cool.

After my trip to town today,  visit with the doc, stopping  and picking up breakfast I  headed home.  I had dropped Dakota off at mom's for the day. Coffee Table Redo

Morning all. Couple weeks ago I found this at a neighbors home put out on the side of the  road. Loaded it up in my Prius. It was heavy and LONG.  Standing it up next to me it comes to my shoulders and I am 5'2. My daughter Amber had told me just that week that she needed a coffee table. I think it was meant to be! Basic maple with a traditional  look and a formica top. that you can't do much with. So after checking with my daughter to be sure size would not be a problem I got to work. I built a frame. My thoughts were that if I made a frame and attached wood to that I could slip it right over the top of the existing table top.  Oops....forgot a step... before making the frame I spray painted the base in an ivory color.  Now with that step added in I  move on to what it looks like with the wood attached  to my frame. Another Chilling Day - Brothers HOuse

House/dog/bird sitting at my brothers house.  Of course this was Lily's first trip there. Dakota  has house sat with me many times.  Lily was not too sure what to think about Ms. Lola. She loves the ledge at the large windows! My brother has some really pretty sunflowers.....all about to give it up for the summer. Wasp drinking from the hummingbird feeder.
