Taters, Plates and Spoons before the Manison

Theresa had some extra sweet
potatos that she knew she
would not get around to eating.
I love a great baked sweet
tater, but I wanted to roast some
of these so I chopped a couple
up and tossed them in some
brown butter, then spread them
on a baking sheet, topping with
a hint of salt and some gloves and
cinnamon.....

OH MY!!!!!!!

In the process of doing the taters
I found that a sweet tater is a tad
harder then a regular potato. I
was also running the dishwasher
which held BOTH of my cutting
boards so I thought, no biggie I
will chop them on a plate.

HAHA....have you ever heard
that people like Corning Ware
dishware cause it don't break
easy? Well, actually that was
before I bought Corning.

But hey, I did break the plate
in a very creative style!

Have you folks realized just
how dangerous I am in the kitchen?

One of my spoons did not make
it through the preparing of the
brown butter.

Yep.....that's me. A danger in the kitchen.

This pic came up on my memories
on FB the other day.
Taken looking out over the Historial
mansion of Tulip Grove.

Tulip Grove
was owned by Andrew Jackson Donelson,
Rachel Jackson's nephew. The home
was just a hop, skip and jump away
from his aunt Rachel and her hubby
Andrew Jackson. For those not living
in the states you might be asking okay,
who are they. Andrew Jackson later
became the 7th president of the US. I live
about 4 mins away from those two homes.
Matter of fact with all the land Andrew
owned my home is probably sitting on
some of that today.

Oh, be safe, my dear! Those sweet potatoes look delicious. And I bet that mansion would provide a neat tour. As for Corningware, I once shattered a plat across my knee in frustration. Didn't think it would break, honestly. My husband calls that old maneuver, 'The Knee of Fury'. Heh...

It's so not fun to break things in the kitchen. Glad you have a sense of humor about it.

You do seem to have a lot of kitchen accidents but at least you put out some good food...lol

Love sweet potatoes and I often sautee them. I don't like them all sweet but savory. That cinnamon, though -- that would be kind of perfect!

Oh, you broke the Corning Ware! Ooooo, I like that floral design. I have the plain white ones. Those taters look amazing. That sunrise/sunset is so pretty over Tulip Grove. hahahaha, I love that quote, "life is short. Smile while you still have teeth." I'll pass that one of to the girls. Thanks for making me smile, Pam. : )
