Shopping Finds

The other day I left the hospital earlier than
I had been to run errands. Mom had a good
day so I felt okay leaving.
Not only did I detour from errands
to go to Hobby Lobby I also
went to the Goodwill next to the Hobby.

I saw this.

3.99 and I knew I had to have this for
mom.

But at Hobby Lobby I hit
a jack pot on clearance.
I loved this sign.

Regular price and
clearance price.

Saw this really cute little sign
also.

Towel holder.

Hard to see this price...but it was
2.99.

Last winter I wanted to work on
making a swinging bed for the
deck, of course it did not get
done. So I thought maybe this
winter then I decided that maybe...

A hammock would work.
Picked this up at Wally World.
Not on sale but that is okay.

Now, back to Hobby Lobby!
HAHA, but only in the blog.
I saw a couple of items like this and
I was thinking of putting something
like this on my bedroom wall.

But on the ones I saw that I might
want, there was not a price anywhere
on them. So I did not get one.

Then, two days later I was driving
on my road, headed to the house
to check mail when I saw this.

And YES, I went road side shopping.

PERFECT. Wood and already white
washed.
BAM!
I love to roadside shop.

Check it out. The bench I made
for Theresa for her porch
for Christmas.
Its on the porch.

I have been taking my ipad to the
hospital but I have also been doing
some reading. I found two Danielle
Steel books on moms end table so
I picked this up and started
reading on it.
It was really good.

Have another one to start on.

Thank you all for the well wishes for
my mom. She is improving, but slowly.
However today with working with
the speech and swallow
tech it was determined she could have
some soft wood. It has been since the 27th
that she had food. Then later the PT tech
came and got her out of bed and sitting
up in a chair. First time out of bed in
a week and 1 day.
Big steps today.

Thanks for all,
Pam

You had some good finds, Pam! I love your angel and especially those architectural elements. Can't wait to see what you do with them, though they'd be fine "as is."

I think you mean... she could have some soft "food". :-)

What a find! One man's trash is another woman's treasure.

Best of everything, to your mom and her recovery!!!

I'm glad your mom is improving, Pam.

You remind me of my s-I-l with the roadside shopping; she's really found some great things over the years.

Glad to hear your mom is doing better.

A teacher has a picture in her room of an hours open sign somewhere in Hawaii. I wish I had a picture of it. There was a "no like work" clause for the place being closed.

Glad you got some time for yourself. ~hugs~ And best wishes on continuing improvements. Being bedridden is terrible on the body. I have to say you gave me a giggle when I read she could have 'soft wood'. :) Take care!
