St. Jude's Songwriter Night

Saturday, day of Amber's wedding my
older brother called and said he had a stay
at a hotel that had to be used that night or
he would lose points. Did I think Amber
would want it? I said that would be
nice but she will have all the boys so
that would not be doable.

So, did I want it. Sure....why not.
You see Debbie has traveled with me
on most of my wedding shoots. She
loves getting out and helping. Most times
along with pay we were put up in a
nice hotel. So this would be like old times!

We laughed and giggled over lots of
things before our old bodies crashed!

I got home, picked up Dakota at moms,
loved on both him and Lily and later
that afternoon I met one of my older
and dear friends, Julie of Julia's Homestyle
Bakery, her hubby of 37.5 yrs and a
sweet girl that works at the bakery.
We headed to the WhiteHorse
downtown for the St. Jude's
and the Big 98 (radio station) fund
raiser.

Julie brought cookies that the bakery
made for the auction that night.

This is Roger, Julies hubby and their
granddaughter  Luna.
I have been watching Luna grow
via FB for 13 months but this is
the first time I have met  her.

At the Wildhorse, this is Julie, her sister
Laurie and Laurie's hubby Tony.

This is Lauren Alaina.

Aren't they an adorable couple?

Had a great time hanging with old
friends and meeting these local
songwriters and hearing them sing
the songs they wrote.

I have been going strong for
almost a week, pushed hard to
make myself do things on
Monday and Tuesday but
my body said....ENOUGH
today. Major rear kicking headache,
over all pain and fatigued.
Slept most of the day.
Have an apt. that I need to
make first thing in the morning
so here is hoping I am up
and moving fine then....

Sounds like fun but I hope you have now got rid of the headache and the pain. Guess you overdid things a bit. Take it easy Diane

Pam you look so energetic and happy in those photos, it's hard to imagine you kicked in the butt by Fibro. Your evening out looks like it was a lot of fun, and how great to meet all of those talented people! :)

After the last few days, you totally need a day or two to lie in. Rest. Enjoy yourself (if you can).
Sounds a lot of fun... but please take good care of yourself.

All the best Jan
Pam, what fun! It's been far too long since we've had an evening of live music. Rest up now!
Sounds like a real good time. The song writers don't get the credit they deserve.
