The Rest of Today

After my trip to town today,  visit with the doc, stopping  and picking up breakfast I  headed home.  I had dropped Dakota off at mom's for the day. He was going  to spend the day  playing with Klohe and Cheyenne. While he was hanging at mom's Lily and I chilled all day.  So much to do but I can't seem to get it in gear. Later....I had an apt for a hair cut. But I left out early to stop  at the  Mystic Heart. I picked up some healing stones there.  Entering the store I read this sign... haha Then while in there I saw this sign. From there I headed to see  Kelley, my hair stylist. Forgotten, Old, Square, Coffee and Parada

The other day I mentioned that I  left the house early and  stayed gone for hours, with my  camera. Going to try and work on  my "Forgotten in Hickman Co." album on FB. It is sort of overwhelming that there is so much abandoned  property in this county.  The pic above is on  the main strip and I think it maybe was once a store, or  a place to eat. While I was riding around the county seat of my county, I saw this amazing home. And this one. Centerville has some really old homes. The town was  established in 1823. and in 2020 the population     was 3,489. There is no growth in  this county, the county seat wants to keep it that way.  The town square has more vacant buildings then ones that have something in them. Last time I was there, there was a bakery, that did not make it along with one restaurant that I had eaten at before. This could be one adorable square if Hickman Co. would allow growth. Chilling Today

My buddy, Dakota has not been a  happy camper the last couple of  weeks.  He has been put on a diet. He is eating more veggies and  pumpkins mixed with a little canned food.  His treats have been cut back. The last two days he has taken to raiding Lily's dry food. Apparently since she is a growing baby, she needs dry food between wet feeding. Dakota has not had dried food left out for a couple of years.  Lily's dry food is now on the  bathroom counter.  I hate having her food out and  Dakota not having dry food out but he is really over weight.  I know he don't understand. Talking about Lily... we are visiting at my brothers house.... we are  house/dog/bird sitting and this is Lily's first time there. My sis in law has a puzzle going..
