Wilkes and Booth, Filters, Misty wanting Attention

I loved history when I was
in school but it is amazing
the things at my age that I
can still learn things like this~

John Wilkes Booth's brother
Edwin,

saved the life of
President Lincoln's son.
Robert

 just
a year before John Booth
killed the president.
WOW....I had no clue.

You know what else I have
learned, never unwrap
paper coffee filters from
the plastic wrap.
Why do I say this?
For years I have taken my
filters out of the package

and
placed them in a Tupperware
dish with a lid on it.
But I have learned that this
causes the filter to spread
out, making it hard to
have the filter stay flush with
the sides of the coffee maker.
Not having that flush can cause
it to pull away from the
cup it sits in and allows grounds
to make its way into my coffee.
This last bout of filters,
I did not remove from the package,
just opened it and I pull
a filter out when I need to.

Yes, I know, silly thing to learn
this late in life!!

Misty is somewhat jealous of Amber
and Cory when they call. More so for
Amber Howell. She can actually be in another
room or laying next to me, but when I start
talking on the phone to either, she will start talking
to me, meowing, then climbs up on me and starts
butting heads. These pics were taken last night,
the last pic was her curled up on the bed,
after I talked with Amber!

These KIDS!!!
Haha
Somewhat like my real
kids, they always wanted
to ask questions when I was
on the phone with anyone when
the kids were young.
Told you, Misty thinks I
am her mom.

Do your pets ever want
your attention when
you are on the phone with
someone?

Pam

I love bits of history like that!
What a funny cat, they sure do have personality don't they?

I've had my kids do that to me when I was on the phone but I can't say any of my dogs or cats have done that.
That was an interesting history lesson. Misty, you are adorable. Our Simon always runs to see who is calling and he purrs and purrs at them.

I hated history at school, we had a dismal history teacher. I have been catching up with history ever since and I now love it! Take care Diane

Life is one continual school, isn't it? And good things to learn. I love that you are so loved by Misty that she thinks you're mom. Lizzie doesn't usually bother me unless she wants something!

I don't talk on the phone often but yes, the cats can intrude. Silly brats. Hugs, my dear.
