Waving and Rubs, High Tea, Game Time and Actress

Lily is waving at all
of you and saying
good morning!

Actually, this was Lily kicked
back with her paw in the
air while getting her 15 min.
morning rub down.

She enjoys her rub downs.

On Saturday,
I was going to go back to
my brother's house to help
with more packing but the cold
of last week really messed with
my pain level, esp. my hip.
I also had an event that I
was invited to attend, and since
that was a sitting event, I knew
my hip would be okay. Packing
however, was not what I
thought I would be able to do.
I had thought about doing both
since Liz (event planner and doer)
lives only 20 mins from my
brother's new home and just
a short drive to the other house.
Was going to stay the night, but
decided to come home instead
since I was not going to pack.

That makes for a long
day, drive 1.5 hours, eat,
drink, talk, eat, laugh,
eat, play games,
eat and drive back 1.5 hours
after dark, but I wanted my bed.

Anyway, Liz does a High Tea
at the first of Jan. every yr. however,
life sometimes gets in the way,
plus, weather with snow so
we had to cancel the first attempt.
Liz left Christmas up for us.

Such a pretty tree, but the
lights got in the way of
showing it odd.

Wow....the FOOD!
Scones, a duck wrapped
thing, sandwiches,
meatballs and sweets.

The table was sat with
Liz's nonna's china.

Hot tea and a champagne
drink called a poinsettia.

After we all stuffed ourselves,
we took some pics as a group,
played a game and then
we ate again, snacks brought
by the rest of us for game time.
Theresa made this,
a cranberry, jalapeno dip.

Served over this.

I took bruschetta.

Oh. the food!
I only ate a couple
bites out of each item cause
I knew I would get sick if
I ate everything.
But, it was all good.

We played a game called
Poetry and Neanderthals.
Seriously, not sure where they find
these games! lol

This is some of us sitting around
at game time, notice I have
the bat. The bat is what you hit
the neanderthal with when they mess up!

Liz, our hostess in the blue and white.
 Nancy beside her and
Dana.

Oh, the laughs.

Here is your knowledge part of
this post.

I had no clue and I
had never heard this before.
Interesting fact.

Hope you had a great weekend,
Pam

Hi Lily.
I think you made a good choice in only going to the tea. It looks like a lot of fun and all the food looks really good.
