Snow of Jan. 10, 2025, and Food,

Morning.

Friday night, I kept the
blinds open so I could still
see the beautiful snow
outside.
Cool feeling laying
here with warm socks
on and looking at the snow
outside.

Measurements at the house,
a tad over 4 inches.

Pretty sure I will not
be worth a crap today,
Saturday, cause I played in
the snow Friday!
Matter of fact, I was out
five or six times,
playing, walking or
taking pics.

Beautiful.

My light bulbs that hang in
a tree next to the shed
are frozen where the water
has gotten in there,
and then came the snow!

How pretty is snow among the
trees? I went out this morn
to measure, 4 inches.

Early Friday Afternoon,
the road was already icing
over. Although this looks
like just snow, cars and trucks
have been up and down it,
so that fresh snow is coving
packed down slush, that has
frozen to ice.

Color among the bright
white of the snow.

My fairy is catching snow
in the palm of her hand.
I stood out and watched
the birds flying about,
stopping to eat and
flying on.
Can you see this one
in the tree?

Oh, it was beautiful coming down.
Heavy, big flakes, coming
down fast for hours.
That is when to me, it
all feels so peaceful.

This is not the bulk
of the snow that settled
on the limbs. This is how
folks lose power, when those
branches can't take anymore.

One of my favorite pics
of the day.

If I was wondering
what direction the
snow came in from...this
tree and all the rest can
tell you. However, I was
not really wondering.

Standing under the
cedar tree and looking
up into it.

Even the rain chain filled
with snow.

Again, peaceful.

This was one of my first
trips out,
my snow angel.
Taken in less than an inch
of snow.
I tried to use a Rubbermaid
tote lid to slide down
my driveway, but I went
nowhere!
Course, a little hard to slide
in an inch of snow!

Another favorite. I got some
of my Christmas down
but some items have
not been taken down
yet! Sure makes a pretty
pic.

Yep.....I did a snow person.
I have NEVER been good at
making these things. Can't get my
starter ball rolling to make
balls for stacking.

But this is my comical way
of saying, summer
is coming.
A denim skirt and shirt.
Even a matching hat.
Badminton racket with a
frisbee. Like I said,
I am terrible at making
snow folks, see the lean?
She did not stay up
long.

I even got some cooking
done.

Had a large thing
of ground beef, so I made
a meatloaf and fried up
the rest to toss in the freezer.

Also, soaked some beans
early in the day and cooked
later. Beans and ham soup
was made. That will be dinner
this evening.

 Did you get any snow
from Fridays event?
Did you play in it?
Or stay in and cook?

Snow? Me? You're joking, right?

That pic of the lightbulb in the snow would make an excellent Christmas card for this year. Just a thought...
