Misty, Yarn, Tent, Rocks, Cans, Blue VS Brown,
Hi,
howdy,
what's up!
For those of you that
have cats, been around
cats, or just seen
videos of cats, you know
that their attention
can be caught by the littlest
thing, like
yarn.
And if you are not aware
of all that, let me just
tell you that crocheting
with a big ball of gray
of fur around, is not
easy.
They chase the yarn, they
pull on it, and they
even sit on it!
Then, they curl up under
the throw that you drape over
the back of the couch, making
a tent for them, and nap.
on the afghan. It started as a
scrap yarn one, but I threw in
two different stitches and
started by going straight across,
when I flipped and did some rows
going up and down.
I call it a crazy
afghan.
California, where I brought
back some rocks, I thought
I would paint on them.
La Jolla, is beautiful and
I got this rock there.
My thoughts were to take a rock
from wherever I visited. HAHA
that went nowhere.
I thought I would start that
thought again. So far, I have
added Montgomery Bell
state park and Piney River.
I painted the last two the
other day and sealed them, sitting
them outside on Tuesday.
Now, to remember to pick up
rocks! I have a really cool
one to work on that my
brother gave me but have
not started it yet. I am going
to give it back to hime
when I have it done.
It is shaped like a piece
of pie. I am going to paint
it to look like a piece of
pie.
Moving on, Wednesday night,
I took some cans I set
aside and played with them.
I had some peel and stick
pieces of wallpaper from
Dollar Tree, cut and covered
the cans. Then I poked holes
in the tops, ran jute
through them, tied a bell
on the end and now I have
some cool chimes/
porch decor.
In the last two evenings I
managed to get a couple
of extra stuff done. Not much
of anything else, but I did
get a tension rod hung in the
washroom to hang clothes
on. That required a drill with
the screwdriver bit on it,
some brackets I purchased a while
back just in case the tension
did not hold well. I managed
to get that done without falling
off the step stool.
haha
Last night, I hung a shelve
over my bed, and decorated it.
You see, I am redoing my
bedroom. WHAT?
Yep, you read that right.
This is what it looked
like when I moved in.
Later I added these above the
bed. Sorry, could not locate a pic
of what it looked like together.
Problem is, I am not totally a blue
fan. I mean yeah, it's pretty, but
with that and the pattern on the spread,
it was more than I wanted for
a cozy bedroom.
Look at Lily staring at us all
on the bed!!
Anyway, a few years back I commented
in a post that you could not locate
throws, spreads, curtains, knick knacks
or even clothes in beige or brown.
You see, brown is not my favorite
color but it is my go to for
comfort and cozy in my home.
I prefer, off white or beige color
walls with beige and brown
to put in the room.
Have you noticed on your
outings the last three or four
months, that gray is out and
beige and brown is back?
YAY!!!!!
I bought a new spread for the bed,
BROWN,
curtains.
I made the thingys
in front of the curtains
with sandwich bags at
Christmas time. I love
them.
Then I changed out the
paintings above the bed for
a shelve and decor.
I have my brown back!!
I am happy.
Now to finish decorating my
room, which I had not done
yet. Not all the way anyway.
If you notice, there are dark purple
tulips in the planter on
the shelf.
My color theme I am going with
is this....
The blackberry, kurobeni,
and copper moon...
In my terms that equals
out to a reddish purple (wine)
brown and beige.
It's a given,
I am a wintery color
person.
What colors do you tend
to lean towards?
Spring, Summer, Fall
or winter?
Pam
