Tree Issues, Rubs, In My Tent, and Addition

I never have an issue's with
Misty, she is like the most
perfect cat....
Until the tree.
The tree has never been a
problem, until 2024.
Why? In the past, I have
put up a skinny tree.
When I lived in the townhouse,
a big tree was something that
seemed to overpower the
living room, so once the kids
were adults, I went to a tall
skinny tree. I loved it. Had
my lights, my ornaments and
it was not taking up a lot of
space. At mom's, I just continued
the use what I had.
When I moved, I decided I
needed another big tree.
And with that, the branches are
not short and tucked close
to the base, and with that
Misty can get to them, to
CHEW
on. BRAT.
I have tried things to
keep her away but yesterday
for some reason, it bothered
me more. So, I moved
the coffee table out of the
space, and lined all the gifts
in around the tree.

That did not stop her, she
pushed the gifts out of the
way. I always read that
cats don't like aluminum foil,
I spread some out around the
tree but before I got the
last piece down, Misty was
walking on the foil.
That was not going to work.
Matter of fact, when I moved
it to the coffee table, she
seemed to like the stuff!

Please excuse my mess. I am
cleaning and in that process I make
a bigger mess. See the vac laying in the floor,
a box in front of the door, Braden's
gift from his mom but its over here
so, he don't figure out what it is.

Anyway, I have throw pillows up aroung
the bottom of the tree in front of
the gifts. They are piled high, not
pretty, but it keeps her out of the tree.

Now, here is Ms. Lily Bit getting
her morning rub down in
the BR sink.

She loves this so much.

The silly girls have done another
flip flop. I have found Misty on
the back of the couch, in Lily's
spot. Then all of a sudden
I found Lily in Misty's tent!

At the time I noticed her
Misty noticed here also.
Check out that look!

Mom, it's not fair, she is in
my tent. I told Misty that just
ten mins before that she was in Lilys
spot and she just had to get over it.

With that, she curled up and took
a nap in the corner of the
sectional.

Looks like I could be a serious painter
or maybe I am addicted to
PAINT BRUSHES!!

The above are for crafts and
acrylic paints.
The below are my oils
brushes.

With that, craft paints.

Acrylic paints for canvas.

Keep in mind, this does not
include my oil paints
or watercolors!

I have a problem!!

haha

We had our tree up and it only lasted a couple of days. No decorations on it because Squeaker wouldn't stop climbing it. We took it down. Perhaps next year.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

Now you need to get one of those trees that comes down from the ceiling.

That is one determined cat.
Remember, Misty didn't change, you changed the tree LOL!

I'm glad Lily is making more public appearances. Lizzie loves that head-touching too. It's her favorite. Interesting about Misty and the tree. What an adventure -- so long as she doesn't knock it down!

To (mis)quote Youtuber Brandon Herrara, you have a crippling craft addiction. lol But I can't judge, especially since so many things go unfinished here. :D Hugs, my dear.
