Little Garden Guy, C Table, Daughter Bday, End Table, Key Holder, Emmy Lou and Misty

I shared with you the staining
sealing stage, I got in the
other day....
here are a few things I
messed with.

This guy did not need
staining but since I painted
him a few months ago, I
went ahead and sealed him.
I will prob put another coat
on him before putting him out,
but I need to pick
some sealer up first.
Couple days before the staining
sealing stage I made
a C table. I sit in the middle
of my sectional most days, but
there is no table in the center.
So, I grabbed some wood from
the shed and got busy.
Then it got stained and
sealed.

The pic below I pulled
from pinterest and this is
like the one I made.

But there are all sorts of
C tables..

But being that I have not purchased
a welder yet, The style below
would have been difficult to make,
unless I did it with stripes of wood.

This is an actual C
table.

This one fits up over the arm of
the couch.

Or over the cushions.
An adjustable one would be
cool but I am not that
talented in building so I went
for the simple version.

Thursday was my daughters bday,
44 years ago on Dec. 19, I
was in the hospital where I had
been all night and at 7:56am
she ventured into the world.

A beautiful baby and a
beautiful woman.

She needed a new lamp shade,
I got her one, along with a
pretty smelling candle. She loves
candles, I however don't
burn them. I got her a dolphin.
Yep, you read that right, one
craved out of a healing stone,
a search a word book on Friends show.
She also got some lip
gloss in a Friends coffee cup (very small).
I gave her the end table I
redid for her and the key holder
that I painted for her.

Remember back a couple
months ago I showed you the table
I redid?  Here is what it started
out to look like. I purchased at
Goodwill for 9.99. It was in good shape
and doable to be used just as it
was, but.............

This is the style Amber likes,
just like her mom.
I painted it Antique White
and re-topped it with old wood
that my friend Glenda gave me.

Course I not only used old wood
I had to make it even older looking,
but hammering in nails, even hammered
screws sideways in the wood and
removing them to leave the
indent of them.

Here is the Friends
key holder I made her.
She loved this.

I cooked dinner for her and the
family. We had spaghetti,
regular with sauce on it and then
a little with brown butter on it.
Garlic bread and salad.
I also made the special cake my
mom always made for her, upon
her request.
Here is the directions for that
cake.

When the family visits they
bring the whole family which is
okay, Misty is not sure of it,
but she is not sure of the boys
yet either.
Emmy Lou comes along since
she is part of the family.

Course, Braden and I mess
with her and we try to get her
in the Christmas mood!!

 Then Nana gets the bright
idea to decorate her all
up!

Merry Christmas from
Emmy Lou.

Now to leave yet another
smile on your face..

"Mom does this pic make my feet look big"?

Have a great day,
Pam

Poor Emmy Lou, that's just wrong. ;) And that cake needs a new name. LOL
Your creativity is boundless, my dear. ~hugs~ I purchased a rectangular "C" table for my mother decades ago because she basically lived on the couch. ~sigh~ On one further note, I must again comment on what a lovely family you've raised. Be well and Merry Christmas!

Our daughter is 44 today. Her husband’s birthday was yesterday and he’s the same age. That was a great year for offspring!
