Trip to the Mts., Coffee in Morn, Breakfast, Mail, Views around the Cabin

 Morning!

Thursday, Nov. 7th I started out for
the mountains!

It was a cloudy sort of day,
however, as I traveled up I40
to the mountains, it did clear up.

Leaving around 1:30pm made me
getting to the cabin after dark.
Would have been there around 7 my
time but due to bathroom stops, missing
the house at first and the fact that the mts
are an hour ahead, I made it shortly
before nine.

Let me tell you, the Appalachian Mts.
are steep and curvy!
Really curvy and after dark
seem to appear more so.

But, I made it safe and sound.

Morning brought sunshine and
a great cup for coffee!

Ray, Lori and I went
to breakfast.

Stopped at the local
post office.

Actually, this is now the
post office since the floods
took out the original one.
More on the floods at another time.

I ventured out to the creek and laid
out on a big boulder to take this
eye level pic.

I walked over the bridge on the
road the cabin is on and
took these pics.

Yep, that is the cabin on
the right side.

Standing in the yard, catching
the breeze, listening to the creek and
twirling around!
May be an image of tree and twilight

So pretty.

Going around the bend
next to the cabin.

There are more pics of my
first day at the cabin but
I loaded them on to my
laptop and guess what,
I left that in the mts.
When Ray and Lori come
home I will either have to
go get it or get
it in two weeks when we
all meet for a family reunion.

I thought I had it all packed
up but DUH, I did not.

Hoping you had a great
weekend,
Pam

Sorry about your computer. I need that "probably whiskey" mug. I mean, for me it'll never be whiskey, but I think it's funny anyway.

When you said that truck was the post office at first I thought WOW that must be a really little town. Good thing they were able to do something like that after the floods.

Sorry you forgot your laptop, but glad you made it there safely in the dark. The mountains are mysterious at night.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
I'm glad you had a fun time, the photos were fun!
