Halloween Parade, Socks, and Peaceful Time

 Good morning bloggers!
Saturday night Amber, Braden and
I, drove to Hickman Countys
capital of Centerville for the
Hickman Co. Halloween
Parade.
YAY!

Having never attended the event
I was not really sure
what to expect, so I decided
to not dress out for the event.
BUT,
now that I have attended,
next year, I will be all out
dressed for the event!!

I have learned that Hickman
Co. loves their skeletons.
Since moving here, I have seen
several homes which leave
the skeletons out all yr.
Then, at the parade those
boney figures were everywhere.
I have not loaded my pics from
last night but I will have
them ready tomorrow.

Some nights or cool mornings
has required me to wear my
fluffy socks from time to time
in the house, but I have not
yet put on a pair of socks for
going out till Saturday night.

But for an event out and
about in the cool night air,
I felt the need to wear a
pair of Halloween socks.

I cleaned and picked up
around the house Sat. morning,
but come early afternoon, I
took a few hours out to
enjoy the day in front of
the tv on the deck.
It was a tad cool out there
but a throw helps make
the time enjoyable.

So enjoyable I took an hour nap.

Last week I noticed it looked like
something had dug under the shed at
the side. Not a biggie, shed does not
rest on the ground. But I had to wonder
what had done it. Going out last evening
to wait on Amber to come and pick
me up, I saw the critter looking
out from under the shed...
a rabbit.
I went back to check the area
that looked dug up, and noticed
it was not just cleared away for
something to crawl under, it
appears to be a burrow.
I have no problem with it being
where it is, just wished I had
seen it longer before it darted back
under the shed.

Do you have any critters
living on your property, but
not paying rent?
Are you okay with it?

Pam

The parade sounds like fun and it sounds like you will be doing the bunny hop soon!

I love those socks. I want a pair.

We have lots of little lizards living here and we're okay with that.

Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

I figure the critters we have call our property home, that's ok unless they are causing damage
Love that you went to the parade. I am seeing so many of those skeletons this year at peoples houses. Cute socks. The trees sure look pretty. Sorry about the rabbit. We had something in our yard this year eating things in our garden.

I'm glad you enjoyed a day out. My area has a host of critters and I adore most, especially the rarely sighted turtles, frogs, toads, and salamanders. Just today I heard and finally spotted a pileated woodpecker along the Great Miami River pathway and told another pedestrian where to spot this awesome bird. Blessings, my dear.
