End Table and Deck

I have been just working away
lately. So much so that on Sunday
I crashed. Thank goodness it was not
a crash and burn but I slept all day.

But, other days I have been doing
this and that. This being, working on
Ambers bday gift.

First came primer,
then paint, and after I had
it painted, I applied
the top to the table.

Wood is on. Stained
and sealed.

My thoughts are that if you
are going with the farmhouse
rustic look, you really need to
go rustic.
By rustic, when hammering the
nail in, it did not go in straight...
OOPS.
But I am all for leaving it in there,
and bending it down.

On top of that, I sort of
add rustic to the wood by hammering
screws and nails in the wood,
then removing them.

I love it and Amber will too.
I now have it on my deck,
hidden from viewing eyes by
a throw.

haha...

Speaking of the deck,
Tuesday, I worked out of the deck,
cleaning, knocking down spider
webs, vacuuming the deck floor, and
I moved the daybed around.
The bed was on the side where
the table is now.

Here is a view of the other
end of the deck.
The glider, chair, the table
under the red throw (Ambers) is
the other sitting area.

On the very end of the
deck is the table
and chairs.

I am sitting out here, Tuesday night,
watching TV, just had dinner out
here and enjoying a great evening.
Its 68 degrees and feels
amazing!

When I was cleaning, I left this
guy alone....
I wanted this web gone,
but I was not messing with him.

I am so not
ready to give up
these temps...

Amber is going to love that, such a great gift! Thanks for going through the process, I always enjoy how things come together. You've got a nice wide deck and love your decorating style. I'd leave that spider too! We are having great temperatures here. It was 78 degrees today but none of the humidity found in the height of summer, which is a big plus in my book. Happy November!
That table really is beautiful! Yikes on the spider. If I saw one like that on our deck I think I would have to move to a new house.

The table looks fantastic, I bet she loved it! Wow what a nice comfy deck, looks like you have some nice trees out back too. How do you keep everything dry when it rains, that is what I would be most worried about, hopefully you will have more time to enjoy it, it has gotten a bit chilly here.
