No See Ums, Bruises, Witches and Pumpkin Muffins

 Have you ever heard
of "no see ums"??

Even if you have
not heard of them,
I am pretty sure you
have come in contact
with them.
No see ums are tiny
bugs in your yard.
They jump up on you,
bite you and you never
see them.

They are actually
Ceratopogonidaes,
 a family of flies
 commonly known as
no-see-ums,
 or biting midges
generally 1–3 millimetres
 (512815128 in) in length.
 The family includes more than
 5,000 species worldwide

When I was going to
the barn all the time
I would come home
itching and scratching
of my legs mostly
but really all over.
I thought I was
having a reaction to
the hay.
NOPE.
It was those ugly
no see ums.

Look them up and
check them out.

Knowing about these explains
why when I go out
in the yard, I usually
have to come in and
a shower.

I know y'all
prob shake your head
when I tell you about
the INJURIES
I tend to suffer
from..
I laugh, cause
its just crazy.

The other day I was
out, barefoot in the
backyard and my foot
started hurting.
I felt like I had
a stone bruise.
Sure enough...
I did.

That's the bottom of
my foot...
but then yesterday
I looked down at
my hand while doing
dishes, and saw this.
No clue what I did
to the hand.
Oh well..

Picked up this cutie
at Wally World the
other day.

Last week I went over
a couple of days
and fed Petey,
Theresa's cat while
she was out of town.
She picked this up
for my in Ky.

My friends know me
so well.

Moving onto food now.
Something I need to
make...
YUM

Pumpkin Muffins

Ingredients

1 box spice cake mix
1 (15-ounce) can pure pumpkin puree
Tips

Mix in 1/2 cup raisins or chopped nuts if desired.

Steps

Take the pumpkin and the spice cake mix powder and mix it together.

The puree and the cake mix should all come together. You do not have to add any eggs or milk or any of that.

Prepare a muffin tin by greasing this, and from there, take a dollop of the mixture, and put it into the muffin cups after they’ve been greased

Bake this at 350 degrees for around 18-22 minutes, or until the knife is nice and clean.

Hoping your week has

started out a good one.

If I was into pumpkin muffins, I would totally try that. I'm meh on the pumpkin spice stuff that's popular this time of year. But that just means there's more of it for the rest of you ;)

I do dislike mysterious bruises. And I've been getting all sorts of bites on my legs, and I was wondering what was biting me. Must be the no see ums.

Never heard of those bugs but that would explain a lot.
Those pumpkin muffins sound so good.

these muffins remind me of a Weight Watchers muffin recipe -- and they're really good! And yes, I know no-see-ums well. Too well. Hate 'em!
Ouch to those bruises, no fun at all. Those muffins look like yummy fun though.

I have never heard of those bugs before, but I hope I never come across them since I'm terrified of bugs lol! Wishing you a wonderful weekend Pam!
