Road Trip, Playing Hard and Resting Harder

Yesterday morning I was up and feeding Misty at 6am. She ran and played through the hall while I got ready for my field trip. Being that Misty is still taking the bottle and has not seen fit to even come off of it I had to be sure she was fed while I was gone.

Packed her up and took her to Aunt Kim's where she played with Bubba, the one feral of the last litter of Mama Cat's that Kim still has. She sent me a pic via messenger on fb while I was gone.

So cute. They played so hard that when I got Misty home about five, she went to sleep.
I checked on her around 7 at which time she woke and wanted a bottle only
to go back to sleep and slept till I got up with her at 5:30 this morn.
WORN OUT!

A comment was made on yesterdays blog about me taking pics on my trip to Ky. ....
oops, that did not happen. With me driving and Debbie and I talking I did not take any along the way and I left there without taking a pic of us three old ladies!
I did however take this while leaving Lisa's house.

University of Kentucky.

Saw this on FB this morn....so cute and those with grands out there would probably love doing this with the kids.

If I was still making ornaments for the grands I would ever consider this and put their names on them.

Now back to my visit with Debbie and Lisa. It was so nice getting together with them. Our ride up there should have been two hours for me and 1.5 for Debbie, however it did not work out that way. We sat on the interstate for over an hour due to a wreck and an investigation of that wreck. When we got up next to it to go around my heart sank, pretty sure no one made it out of that one.

It was a beautiful ride up that way and I really enjoyed Debbie and I's conversation. Wished I had made that trip when the weeks were at the peak of color, cause I bet it was beautiful. Lisa lives up in the middle of NOWHERE and THERE! She does have a great view of Lake Barkley though so I hope to go back for a visit in the spring.

Today is going to consist of a little cleaning and the hardware store. I need plywood. I see peoples thoughts going all around now as to what I am up to now. My stairs fall in the middle of the house, iron rails that are open to the living room and the other side to the dining room.. That would make a bad fall for a little open full force kitten so I am getting the wood to cover that area in the living room and blocking it off from her going to the dining room. Right now I have baby gates but I have to watch her cause she can climb those, plywood she can't climb. Its not like I will not use the wood later for something.

With all that said and done, I am taking Misty to the kitchen and blocking her off in there with me while I do some dishes and maybe consider baking something.  Baking, reminds me, gotta make a trip to the store. Later folks.

I'm ready for the weekend too. Not going anywhere, but I don't blog on the weekend and do other things. It's a good thing.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Pam. Scritches to the babes. ♥

Misty sure looked cute snuggled up with her pal. I'm glad you had a good roadtrip!!!

Conversation is better than pictures, anyway. Sounds like it was a terrible wreck.

Plywood is a good solution. Don't give the kitten anything to get over.

When someone who's always taking pictures forgets to take pictures, you know they were having a good time. Too bad about the wreck.
