Girls Day Out on a Field Trip

Yesterday, four of us headed
out to Starstruck (former name), new
name is Cherokee Estates at the Dock.
It is the former home of Reba McEntire
now turned wedding venue.

Before scrolling through the pics
of us girls let me just say,
these ladies are a lot of trouble.
Surprising we did not get thrown
out.

Left to right~
Lisa~ Asst. at Tn Tiny Weddings and
Julies cousin
Krystal~ Friend of Julies
Julie~ Owner of Tn Tiny Weddings
and
of course I saved the best
for last.....ME. 😋

We are actually standing in the stalls.

I played with the pic with different
filters.

Okay, so let me just tell you that
the stables are amazing. I would live
there, yes, in a stall.
Misfire would run away to this place
if she only knew.
These stables were built after the
place became a wedding venue.
Reba had some amazing ones but
they took up a lot of the 80 acres she
owned.

This next pic is of us ladies
standing in front of the fireplace
in what was Reba's bedroom!
The room is also named
Reba's Room.

Oops....this is where things started
going down hill.

We got another guest to take
our pic!

Next pic standing in front of
Reba's makeup mirrors.

Julie snapped some pics of
me standing near the tree
down by the private dock.

She also took this one telling
me that this house looks
like it was made for me.

Here I am in one of the bedrooms.
(there were several).

Well we were not allowed
into the wine cellar room..
DARN.
I thought if I sat there
someone would come let
me in.

So we took the tour....was amazed!
I will share pics of the house
in blogs coming up the next
few days but before
ending this post I want to
show you what Julie
did to me.

She locked me in a stall!
YES...in a horse stall!

 Apple don't play pretty
with Blogger so I can load
the video up from my phone ...
hoping you can view it with
this link.

More pics of the venue tomorrow.

Nothing like a fun girls' trip! Your group reminds me of "my group" of 9...we all graduated from high school together. We call ourselves the VALLEY GIRLS because we graduated from Fort Valley High:) And when we get together...well, let's just say we know how to have fun, fun, fun!!!! Sadly, one of our group will be leaving us most anytime for her heavenly home...cancer. And it is breaking our hearts. So just keep on enjoying yourself and your friends as long as you can...it's truly a blessing.

What a fun day for you, Pam. That must have been exciting to see Reba's former home. I always watch the Reba re-runs. It looks like you had a great day with friends.
