Dress/Cabbage/Welding/Hair and DOTS

I love it when I run across the
cutest things.

HAHA

Speaking of wearing I still have
some cute 50's style dresses.

I love this.

Last week I cooked....haha
okay let me try that again, I
cooked for me and not the dogs!

I had never had polish sausage and
fried cabbage. But I like both
so I decided to give it a try.

It was so GOOD!
Since my sugery it is rare for
me to have several items for a meal
like I did when kids were home.
A one pot or one dish meal works
for me. So this filled me up.

I am not sure if I shared with you
folks that I like to weld.
It is not something I have done
a lot of but I like it.

This is not my design or
project (found on PINTEREST)
but I would love to make
something like this for my
yard.

I did however make this
"wild flower"
a few yrs ago.

Course the pedals of the flower is
lawnmower blades.
I elected to not paint it cause
I love the rust.

This next piece was a found in
the trash piece by my brother.
I however did add more
pieces to it.  I added the
tallest piece with the gears and
stuff on it. I actually added this
piece going down the center
of the part that already existed.
I did that cause this was a tad top
heavy and would fall over a lot.
By adding the longer piece, going
past the base it gives me about
six inches to stick into the ground
to keep it from falling over.

I have a spring like flag that normally
hangs in the front yard but I
saw this one the other day and
had to have it. I wanted it due
to the cardinal on it since that
is the bird that was waiting for me
on moms deck the day of her funeral
that I know was a sign from mom.
Plus, mom's fave bird, Eastern Bluebird
is on here also. I got this for
me but I bought my daughter one
along with the hook to hang it on.

So, the other day I got a wild hair (no pun)
and
decided that the hair had to go.
I made my apt and went today.

My hair dresser has been doing
my hair for years and she is never
surprised when I spend a yr of more
letting the hair grow, then cut it all off
only to let it start growing again!
I will miss putting it up and pulling
it back but I figure if I am doing
that I might as well cut it.

This morning I video chatted
with the boys, DJ and Braden
this morning while they waited on
the bus.
While talking Braden sends me
this pic of himself!!

Silly BOY.

Sunday I went to my sis in law
Kim's family Mothers Day
cookout. Kim picked me
up and this is her ride.

With Rain's Art Date I posted
some pics and commented
on others art. One of the
themed parts of the art challenge
was DOTS.
I made a comment on someones
post that I had painted a painting
in mostly dots once.
They asked if I had a pic so
I am including that now in this
post. Hard to tell but the only
thing that was not painted with dots
was the house in the background.

This is the only one I painted like that...
IT WAS HARD. I am used to doing
strokes of trying to remember to just DOT
was not easy!

And speaking of ART, I saw this
on PINTEREST.

SO COOL!

WOW, you can weld too? You have so many talents.
The cabbage and saugsage looks really good. I may have to get some and make that.

From what I hear welding can pay big bucks!!! Also sounds like an interesting this to do. Lots of possibilities I would imagine:) I sooo wish I could paint, but the dot thing would be way way too much for me...not enough patience. My 13 yr. old granddaughter is very creative and likes to paint and draw...and she's really good at it for her age. You are certainly a talented lady with lots of ideas! I seem to have NO talent (other than maybe writing and I can only do so much of that!) I have no vision to think ahead of the finished product!!! Alas, I guess we can't have everything:)
Love that sassy girl! Fried cabbage is so delicious with just with oil, salt and pepper. It takes on a such a great flavor. I would love to be able to weld. The creations could be endless! Your rusty flower is very cool. Gorgeous hair cut. It looks beautiful on you! Lovely dot painting. It must take hours to create in that style.

You certainly have mastered many abilities!

Oh that painting in dots, must be very hard! There was a whole "School" of such paintings, I think. They must have had a lot of time..........

Hooray for getting hair cut! So much easier. So much.

Mine now, is quite like yours. I've moved on from the mostly-buzzed-all-over. To simply a pixie. Truthfully, I don't think I look as good, this way, as if I spent time with enough hair, to curl some. But..... -sigh- I can't see going back to having to do that, again. Me = L-a-z-y!!!!! ,-)

Love that you can weld!!!! And I love your lawnmower flower. Your hair looks really good. If my hair were that short I would look like I had a brillo pad on my head. lol

Have a great weekend- xo Diana

Sunday in the Park with George! That's what I think of when I hear about painting with dots.

I'm the same when it comes to my hair. I go about a year and then I cut it all off.

I love that dish. Yummy.

I love your summer cut. You'll be happy when it's hot.

I love the first graphic. I agree too.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Pam. Scritches to all the babes. ♥
Yes that first photo is adorable. Your meal looks delicious. I saute cabbage all the time. I like to eat it over brown rice. We also do onion, red peppers and Italian sausage in the oven. Your artwork is beautiful.

I'm with Ann! Cool ride and awesome crafts/paintings. I imagine it would be tedious to paint with dots. That is beautiful, though. And what a cute, meaningful flag! Be well, my dear.
Love the creativity, all of it is s cool!
