Life is Calmer Today

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN
Night to you all!

I had a total of eight (8)
trick or treaters tonight.
And I still have a bowl full
of candy I don't need in
my house!

OoPs!

Had to pick some things up at
Wally World today
so I took a few pics along
the way as I looked for what
I needed.

I used to love watches like this with
bands you changed out.
Back in the 70's they were a big
thing and I got one for
Christmas with about 6 or
so colors.

Little nicer ones these days.

I have noticed that these earrings
seem to be making a comeback.
You know, the ones where the
dangle below the ear part actually
is attached to the earring bar at the
back of the ear. I bought a pair a month
or so ago. I had a pair back in the 80's!

I guess that saying about holding
onto things because they will make a come
back!.
It happens!

Loving this style of shirt.

Noticed that a lot of shirts have
the sweep over look.

When I did my photo shoot
Sunday I decided to take a pic
of this house in my area.
I love PURPLE....
but I really am not crazy
about this look.
This is the front of the house.

Back

Notice the cars?

Close up on the
PURPLE
cars.

Dropped this off yesterday
for 615 Rocks.

At McDonalds in
Fairview.

A couple folks made comments
about Caleb's height.
The doc said that he would
finish up around 6'2.
His mom is 5'9 and his
dad was around 6' something.
I am 5'2 so at over
6 foot I do look
REALLY
SHORT
next to him.

Remember back in the 70's the
song Short People
by Randy Newman?
Don't want no short people
round here!
I so disliked that song!

My son is right around 5'8 and
I remember his famous words to
me at one point when I comment about
him growing so much that he was
almost taller than me and he
said,
"mom, it don't take much to be
taller than you"!
Thanks Cory!

Welcome to November!

Oh, that leftover candy! ;-)
I have a couple pair of favorite earrings, I can't wear the cheaper one. My ears ooze and itch. Those you showed are soooo cute!
I like purple, but not that house purple, ick!
My oldest son is 5'6", number 3 son is 6'3-4", and the other are in between. Ha Ha. The short ones take after me.

Happy November to you, Pam! Yes, you really are short next to Caleb. He sure is a handsome young man.

We don't get trick or treater's around here; I kind of miss it. :)

xoxo
Pam, we used to have kids come and trick or treat years ago back when my girls were kids. We haven't had any in years. We live out, away from everything to begin with so who wants to make a drive to the country? Now all the kids go places where the houses are house to house and the area well lite. Plus with church events, school events and family parties that takes care of the sugar load. LOL! I am 5'2 as well. All my bunch short. I have three tall soninloves. I told them they all added the height to our family. LOL! Happy November. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I don't know why I thought you were taller than me. Maybe it's because most people are. ~grin~ We had a whopping six kids show up at the door last night. I almost put the candy on a table in the driveway, expecting maybe three times that many at most. At least Jezebel didn't get scared by the doorbell ringing. But I remember good times hosting many children. Years ago I decorated the garage as a miniature haunted house. The parents loved it as much as their kids. Now not even costumed neighbors stop by. ~sigh~ Hope you are feeling well today!

I know I'm going to have a tummy ache soon...I bought a LOT of chocolate, but just for me and Alex lol! I used to wear a watch, it was an old fashioned style like the thin goldish coloured one my grandma used to wear. I always found it so dainty but the stretchy band always pulled my arm hairs out ouch! :) Hope you have a nice spooky Halloween!!! :)

8 trick-or-treaters? That's 8 more than I got ;)

My mother hates "Short People" too. Won't abide a Randy Newman song just because of that.

My husband is 6' 4" so you would really look short next to him. He he. I like purple but that is a bit over the top to say the least of it and I love those earrings. Cheers Diane

I like the color purple but that house is a great big NO? I wonder if the inside is totally decoratef in purple too
Somebody loves purple! I'll bet the neighbors don't! haha! I really like that sweep over style. I can relate to being short....I'm barely 5' 3". I hated that song, too. We're not short, we're 'fun-size'!!
