My last post was on May 22, 2011 so I have failed this year in my quest to add a post a day..... But I was on VACATION! I flew out to San Diego CA. for my son's wedding. Pics will come later on the wedding since my son, Cory and my new daughter Britney are in Hawaii right now and I am not posting actually wedding pics till they have their disc in hand....but till then, I have other pics. Sitting on the deck and this little guys lands in the bush next to me. Then I watch this one on the creek bank eyeing either the water or me. Thinking it must have been me because he flew off before he took a dip in the cool water. But this one, she took a dip. As I was about to photograph her in the water my dog ran up scaring her off. Two weeks ago they started to come out.... Digging there way to the top and coming out of their skin, shells...whatever. But....we had a cold spell for about 4 days, and their activity was just about nothing. Hoping that was the end of them since they were everywhere. But how wrong that thought was. Two days ago it warmed up and here came thousand and thousands of them. When they first appear they are white. When their body hardens then they change color. Ugly little critter. This is the wall in my Mom's yard this morning. And this is the second time I have woke to find this site on my front porch. The whole cycle thing of the Cicadas is rather interesting but I will be so glad when this is over. Thanks for stopping in,

DuPont Elementry School. This is where my grandson Caleb goes. This is his principal. And that is Caleb in the red shirt preparing to sing in his school program. Caleb is really bad about not bringing papers home for his Mom to read, so I was unprepared for this program and only had my point and shoot. Wished I had my Nikon. Part of the program. Today........I was just playing around with my little point and shoot camera. My office window. My office cube.... My clown freaks out one of my co-workers so she turned her upside down! lol See the local community calendar? That is my pic for May. Yes, I am Ms. May! lol Check out my nails~ I love purple....but that is not what I am talking about. I have always wanted long nails, never have been able to grow them cause they split and broke. Now that I take a large dose of calcium I have nails. And they are driving me crazy. I want to keep them for awhile to see if I can adjust to them but.... I can't tpye with them (yes, I know they are not that long but I am not use to them)...I can't do anything for fear that I will break one off! Now for dinner tonight. While sitting at my nieces college graduation a little girl sitting to seats down from my brother looked over at him... he made a face somewhat like this, she busted out crying and nothing the parents did would calm her down. Congrats to my beautiful niece Paige on her college graduation last night from Western Ky... That is Paige in the center. . And here is the moment she worked so hard for! After all was said and done and I had the camera ready for the tossing of the hats, the grads did something different. The waving of the red Western Ky. towels. A sea of red. Paige getting at congrat kiss from her oldest brother, Chase. Proud Dad (my brother Ray) and my Mom with Paige. Paige and Granny. This is Cole, Paige's little nephew and my great nephew. I so dislike having my pic made but for this I had no problems with it. Paige and her proud aunt with her silly uncle Mark (my other brother) in the backgroud. Friday night I had two of my three grandson's stay the night to give Mom a break. The middle grandson stayed with his other Nana. Braden woke as he always does with a smile upon his face. He is such a happy little one when the new teeth are not bothering him. We were laying in the bed and he was taking his bottle.. Notice the milk coming out the corner of his mouth.
