Day 303 - January 23, 2011 - Expecting

Since I got my camera 2.5 years ago....for a hobby, I have
done several weddings, lots of senior class photo's outside,
damage from a break in for an insurance company, photo's
in a town planner calendar, kids, babies and even a
caregivers brochure. But I did not have any pics of
expecting mom's.

My youngest grandson is 4 months old and I really never
thought about taking "expecting" shoots until I started
seeing many pics around just the last month or so.....

So where was I to get an expecting mom?

I have a great nephew due in April so his Mommy
seemed the best to ask to be my subject....I mean
model. Susan was very good at doing what I asked
and played right along with my request. Thanks
Susan.

Now, thanks to her and baby Coleman aka Cole. I have lots
of expecting Mom shots.

After my trip to town today,  visit with the doc, stopping  and picking up breakfast I  headed home.  I had dropped Dakota off at mom's for the day. Forgotten, Old, Square, Coffee and Parada

The other day I mentioned that I  left the house early and  stayed gone for hours, with my  camera. Going to try and work on  my "Forgotten in Hickman Co." album on FB. It is sort of overwhelming that there is so much abandoned  property in this county.  The pic above is on  the main strip and I think it maybe was once a store, or  a place to eat. While I was riding around the county seat of my county, I saw this amazing home. And this one. Centerville has some really old homes. The town was  established in 1823. and in 2020 the population     was 3,489. There is no growth in  this county, the county seat wants to keep it that way.  The town square has more vacant buildings then ones that have something in them. Pick Pickard, Bye to August, Witchy Christmas, Crossing the Creek, Bats, Birds, Beckham, Evie and Sissy

Catchy sign... haha....don't even ask me who the mayor is now either.. not a clue.  WOW.....August sure did move through really fast! Here it is Sept. and the  fall season is knocking on the door, then Halloween and  the holidays will be here. Always heard this stuff flies by the older you get, so  true. CRAP....I  saw this the day after  I painted my Christmas card. I have been thinking of redoing the one I just painted, I  like the idea, but the pulling it off just is not doing anything for me. I will prob trash this  one and redo it by changing a few things.  My thought process is still the same, I just have to study my thoughts and  figure out how to do it.  Wed. evening, I had to drop Braden out at the farm of a teacher from his school.
