Allergies

Okay, its bad enough when the pollen is up and
you can justify allergies, but when the pollen is
down from rain….then comes the mold. The stuffy
nose, drainage and the cough. It’s a pitiful feeling.

I took allergy shots for years only to drop off and

stop taking them in 2006. I figured this would
be the year the allergies would kick back in
and the shots would be out of my system for
sure. Actually its not been that bad until today.

Right now I am sucking on a cough drop and trying

to keep from rubbing my eyes. The chest is tight
and the nose is running…wait, now its stopped
up again…..it alternates between the two.

We are having a break in the rain today….or at

least until tonight at some point. Cloudy just the
same. We have not had a nice sunny day in over
a week. Mother Nature, its time to give it up and
let the sun shine.

Thanks for stopping in,
Pam

Things are bad here, too, Pam. Nashville and Atlanta are two of the worst places around for allergies. I now buy generic sudafed (you have to show your driver's license and get it at the pharmacy, but you don't have to have a prescription.) It costs maybe $4 for 20 12-hour pills. I do that during the day; at night, I use the "new" sudafed (little red pills) because they don't keep me awake. I also take Claritin (generic) when the pollen is really bad. All of that together keeps me breathing, so I guess that's a good thing! Oh, and I have to sleep with (sugarless)gum in my mouth; seems to keep the stuff from draining down my throat. So far, I haven't swallowed or choked on the gum. Yet.

Pam,

I came over to 'meet you' after you left that sweet comment over at my blog. I'm sorry to hear that you've got a nephew in Heaven due to Neuroblastoma too. I REALLY HATE CANCER!! (The story you shared about Sean working the rain button was too cute. It's always amazing how the kiddos handle what life throws at them.

Okay, I won't keep you.. I just wanted to stop in and say hello and to thank you for stopping by my blog -
♥ Tonya
