This little critter visits often, or at least I think its the same  critter, but prob not. He did allow me to get close to take a pic and  after I snapped the pic, he said, NO MORE. Remember the pole that  DJ and I put up for the hose, well, we did not do that  great of a job. It was wobbling so I took it up and recemented it in the ground. Its holding tight now. The trash corral got fixed, I cut the first row off. Now I can  reach the trash can lid. I was out at six on Saturday working on the mailbox area. I have had a hard time guessing how many bags of rocks I needed and  I seem to still be short and that was after adding some brown rocks I had on hand. Now after about 11 bags, I need about two more. But it is done. Mail lady has a great  pull off spot to get into the mailbox. But it needed some green and color. I will prob extend the flowerbed next year, not happening this yr. I was finishing this up at six am. Thought I was beating the heat,...

Writing Notes, Old House/Old Churches, Hidden Lake, and the Sky

Morning. So I was asked the funniest question on Wed.  Tim made it in from the  Phillipines on Tue. night but stayed in town. Did some errands Wed. morn and made it to the house late Wed. afternoon. I stepped out on the porch as he was getting out of the car,  and he said,  "are you hiding from the IRS"? haha.... I told him no but I was hiding from the TBI. haha Yep. I tried to prepare him for  my rural living! Thursday morning, I had a doc apt with a urologist, time to get to the bottom of my issues. An utlrasound was done and then I had to have a contrast CT scan. Waiting for results. They also sent off a culture. But I was told that it was possible for the infection  to be cleared up but still have symptoms due to inflammation. She put me on a med that is  suppose to help with inflammation, pain and bladder spasms. Insurance will not cover, and 30 pills are 95 bucks. Yep, passed on that, pharmacy was going to call to get her to get in touch with ins...

Hose Pole, Trash Corral, and the Deck

Image
If you remember around  Mothers Day I got the pole for the hose  in the ground.  HAHA Today, I got the hook on  it only to realize since I have two hoses attached together, I am going to need a bigger hook. I also got this finished, the trash corral. I was not totally thinking this out I guess and I  took it as high as the  poles, which is too high. Going to cut around the top and remove it. 88 degrees out there and  I literally was sweating with  water coming out of my hair. Check out this baby girl! She laid up here and watched me clean the deck. I finally got the deck cleaned. Believe me, it needed a good cleaning, but more than not, I needed to pick some things up and get them moved. Anyway, here is the deck... all of the deck. The comfy daybed. My set up for being outside when its cooler. The daybed was on the side of the deck close to the  backdoor and the wall. This is the area before the  door.  All set up with the cat bed f...

Tadpoles, Flowers, Holly, and Bottle Cutting

Morning... or at least it is morning as I type out this post! That is not always a  given, sometimes I type the day I post, sometimes I do it a few days ahead and of course, some days not at all! I read  read  https://islandmusingswithmarie.blogspot.com/ blog this morning about tadpoles and it reminded me about something in my life that would be fun to post about! ~~~~~~ When my son was younger I had a birdbath in the  backyard and one day we had tadpoles in it. Did not realize a frog could jump that high but then again he could have just climbed in there. I thought it would be fun and a learning experience to raise them into  frogs.  We caught them and put the in a glass vase. We had it all fixed up and we fed them fish food. We watched as they grew tails and  legs. It was fun watching them. They were placed on the kitchen counter next to the back door.  Sorry, I have no pics  to share for this story, it was before cell phones. Anyway,...
