Trees around the House, Snakes, Ticks, Lily Bit, School, and Great Grands

Last week the temps dropped and the leaves started to turn. This is across the road from me. And my backyard. The leaves are really starting to cover the forest floor. With that thought, and wanting to venture out and walk around, I checked about snakes. I just know this area has its share of copperhead  and rattlesnakes , so just going willy nilly walking around, I don't walk about out there. Not only fear of those but I hate ticks too.  Here is what I found out about the snakes,   Snakes  in  Tennessee  usually   hibernate  from  October  through  March ,  depending  on  environmental  conditions  and  species.  They  typically  enter  a  dormant  state  when  temperatures  drop  below  60°F   and  may  hibernate   for  2-4  months.  And since ticks were in question also,  I looked this up and found out~ Tic...

Happily Framed, Costumes, Skeletons and the Lot

Bloggers! Stay safe tonight, make sure all pets are up and safe. Give out  lots of candy and don't let the spooks get you! Also, stay away from  the veil, its really thin  tonight. Saturday night parade night  was so much fun. I took 100's  of pics of people, kids and floats. I talked with the lady at the  chamber and although people volunteered in the past to shoot,  they never went to the  extent I went to. Just a cute few pics of folks waiting for the parade. They were so thrilled with the  frame and everyone wanted their pics taken. Wanting their pic made was not just the kids.  Adults, some in costume and some not, wanted in on the  pics. Even this guy, I wanted past him  and he said, "can I have my pic taken"? The costumes were great. Check out the one below. This was so cool. When the  boy walked it looked like he was a dino. Teen boys wanted in on the  frame act also. I stepped away from the folks long enough ...

Where it Started with Crafting and Where it is Now

You know, I was trying to think back to see if  I could remember when I actually started crafting  or creating.  I think it was with one of these! I probably got a kit for making potholders for a Christmas gift. Although, these colors are great what came in kits back in the day were not this pretty.  Red, blue, green and yellow if I remember correctly. From there I went to this. A kit with a loom like this for  making a thick chocker like that one  below.  You have to realize, this was  the 70's and a chocker like that was the thing! I wore mine all the time. I was into the beads then. I made other necklaces, chockers or long ones with these seed beads.   Then somewhere after that I went down a rabbie hole and got  totally lost in the world of  crafts! I got into embroidery, I was embroidery on just about anything I could find. I did my jeans,  a big thunderbird on the back of my brother's shirt, material  for...
