Commissioned Pieces, THE KING, Munchkin, Misty, Card for James

Image
Commissioned pieces for  a little boy for Christmas. Look at this, look at  what came out of my  paint brushes. Dakota AKA THE KING! Kept telling him while I painted him that I  missed him, over and  over again.  My handsome boy. What better pic to post of him than a pic of him with paint on the tip of his ear and brown down the side of him. I was painting and next to me was a  tray table with a piece of pallet paper covered with paint. I did not realize that a tip of the paper was hanging off the side of the  table. Dakota walked under the table, pulling the paper down on himself.  one of the last surviving munchkins has passed away. Elaine Merk Binder, 94 yrs old. She was one of 8 munchkins who danced and sang. Elaine's daughter says she appears in the performance of "Come Out, Come Out" ... she's staged in the second little house up the steps. Just before they go into "Off to See the Wizard," Elaine can be seen as one of the ...

Hot Springs Ark., Toys, Fur Love, EX-Christmas Card, Skyline, Ponder and Paintings

In an earlier blog I told you about my nephew who is out and about traveling. On Sat. morning I saw that he was in Hot Springs Ark.. With pics, the question  came to mind as to what heats that water! You know me well enough to know that if I questioned it, I was going to look it up and read about it, and this is what I found. How  is  the  water  heated   in  hot  springs  ark? The  water  in  Hot  Springs,  Arkansas,  is  heated  through   a  process  that  takes  approximately   4,000  years.  Rainwater  enters  the  Earth's  crust  and  travels  through   layers  of  hot  rock,  absorbing  minerals  before  rising  to  the  surface  as  a  thermal  spring.  The  water  can  reach  temperatures   of  up  to...

Tent/Hammock, Blocking View, Fall/Autumn/Falloween, Upcycle,

Image
Lily was veggie on  her chair, yes, for now she has adopted this spot and the spot on the couch as HER'S. Anyway, I draped her blanket over the chair and her to give her a tent.  Where she hung out for a while. Later after running through the  house like a chicken with her head cut off, she decided to nap. The blanket over the chair made an awesome hammock. The rug I took out of the  cat/craftroom and washed on the  porch, where i left it hanging to dry, was dry so I brought it in. Instead of taking it to the  room it goes in, I tossed it on  the floor (have to vac the other room), and Misty has taken it over. I have to laugh at cats, they generally. find something to  curl up on to sit or lay, a blanket, rug or clean clothes.  Yep, and even on the side table in the bedroom, in front of the tv, blocking moms view! Well mom, I am not wishing  to snuggle, but I want to block your view so you have to see me!! It's here, it's here! FALL AKA...
