Forgotten, Old, Square, Coffee and Parada
The other day I mentioned that I left the house early and stayed gone for hours, with my camera. Going to try and work on my "Forgotten in Hickman Co." album on FB. It is sort of overwhelming that there is so much abandoned property in this county. The pic above is on the main strip and I think it maybe was once a store, or a place to eat. While I was riding around the county seat of my county, I saw this amazing home. And this one. Centerville has some really old homes. The town was established in 1823. and in 2020 the population was 3,489. There is no growth in this county, the county seat wants to keep it that way. The town square has more vacant buildings then ones that have something in them. Last time I was there, there was a bakery, that did not make it along with one restaurant that I had eaten at before.
