Melting, Pool, Basil, Level, Skin or Not, Breaking, Moonshine Wine, and Plants

I'm melting,
I'm melting,
Oh, what a world!

Sorry, should have said
good morning first.
Good morning!

Now back to the melting part,
the temps are not
changing around here.
I think the whole US
states are under this terrible
heat wave.

Of course, for those that don't
know, that line about
melting came from
the Wicked Witch of
the West, as she melted
away when Dorothy poured
a bucket of water on her.

That moment always left
me wondering as a kid, how
did she take a bath?

As for water, I think it is a tad
to late to get the pool installed
for the summer. Not really, but
by the time it is up, we would not
get to enjoy it as long. Thinking
I am holding off till spring.
You see, there are like tree
main sellers for pools
Coleman, Bestway and
Intex. If you read reviews the
vary from this and that
to the other with each pool.
However, Coleman is a name
I know and the one I wanted
is sold out. Basically, all over unless
I wish to pay dearly for it.
So, spring. I hated that I waited
so late but I had other stuff needed
doing, yard and a washer and dryer.
BUT WATER,
be nice to be floating around in
it now.
I think I finally found the
best way to grow basil,
shaded front porch.

It is doing so well since
I moved it about a week or
so ago. Speaking of which,
my plants, although getting
watered are looking wilted a tad.
I moved a few of them to
be with the basil.

Folks, this does sound better,
I am level 65.
You?

When I was younger,
I could walk on anything,
now, not so much.
Where I used to go out
barefoot and loved it,
my feet have gone the way
of my body, soft!
Having moved out here
also is another reason I make
it a point to have shoes at
each door to slip into.
When it started cooling down
on Tue., I went and did my
walk about in the yard.
That is when I noted this.

Appears to be a baby and I can't
tell if just skin or the whole snake and
I am not going to pick it up and
check it out.
YES, I know it is dead,
but still NOT doing it.
Don't get me wrong, I am
not afraid of most snakes. I have
held large pet ones but,
well, just take my word for it,
I am not doing it..

I know, I know, my mind and
thoughts sometimes go off in
some strange directions.
Ever wonder who lived in your
home before you? Or in my case,
what took place on this wooded
lot before my house was built?

So, between the word built
and so, I took an hour break. Not really
a break, I did things but now I
am breaking from those things to
the computer again..

Yes,
SERIOUSLY!

Anyway, where was I going
with the house thing?
Oh yeah, I remember,
I have all around the
line of the sides and back
of my house, along the
trees, wild muscadine grape
vines. When I scanned them to
see what they were cause I thought
they looked like grape leaves, my
thoughts were~
bare with me, I am all
over the place today,
my thought was, maybe back
in the day of prohibition, instead
of moonshining back in these sticks
maybe they made wine!

Actually, I did some reading on it
last night. Over 1/2 of the vines you
find in the wild are male. So, to do anything
with them now, you would need a
female vine and, oh wait, sure
I don't needed to explain this,
you got the idea.
But, that's the only way to
make grapes from what I have.
Maybe I need to make an arbor, get
a female vine and let them
go to town, at least I know
they will grow here in this soil!

My brother Ray, oldest of the three
of us, is going to build him, I figure
he will have it built, a green house.
He has been collecting windows and
that is what it will be made of.
Figuring he will get around to it
this fall. So, in my mind I have
already decided what to give him.
Course I cleared it with him first.
He wants the grape vine,
I have plenty. The cypress vine
seeds, a cool ground cover I
have, I also have a Bracken Fern,
that comes up under the carport.
I dug some up for Theresa and
also, I took the rest and planted
it in the tree line. I thought I planted
the rest, it is so big now cause
apparently, I left some roots.
Whatever I find he said he would
take. I am excited for him,
maybe then he will stay
out of Lori's hair and he will
have a hobby.

Not sure the style he is
going with but that is
neat.

Speaking of plants, did you
know this?

I had no clue. I actually have
some seeds I need to plant
this fall for this plant.
In TN you can request seeds
from the TDOT, AKA
TN Dept of Transportaion and
they will send them out free.
Like I said, I have two packs
that will get planted this
fall. Plus, if they do that again,
I will order more. I have two
wilds coming up on the side
but I think they are too much
in the shade cause I see them
all over out here in bloom and
mine is not blooming.
Might move them this evening
when I water.

Alright, I am getting off
here, I think my break was
up sometime ago,
Pam
