Beach House, Storms

Image
YES! YES! I would so love this, even without seeing the  inside. Would be the best craft/paint hut. Even the color is great! Wed. evening sitting here  watching the storms moving ./in and flying out. Started earlier than weather folks were prepared for cause the temps got so warm and we started having pop up storms and tornadoes long before the big line comes in. Going to be a long,  long night. The big line is supposed to be here around 2am, Amber is packing, her the boys and the dog will be here to stay the night. Bless her heart, I know she used to be scared to pieces in that trailer before mom moved here. On that note, Braden had a ballgame and hour away today. I was going to take him and I was sitting at the school when Amber called to say, go home. He fell  at school and hurt his wrist, they  had been icing it but it was  swollen. I am sorry about the wrist, but thankful for not going to the game. A tornado was spotted not far from the field an...

Morning Coffee and Blogging, Door and Weather

Image
Not on top of blogging this morning, but I  have done a few  other things.   However, first was coffee in bed, and trying to blog, only this is what was taking place. Slightly over 11 lb  fur babe on my chest while I roll my eyes! Lily however, was  enjoying her space on the end of the bed. I stepped out on the porch to clean it off and I got side tracked with my other old door. Dirty, dirty and more dirt. Course the thought of taking a pic only after I stared cleaning it. I sprayed cleaner on it, and watched the dirt roll off. Then I took a rag in a bucket of water, to  wipe it down.  But look how clean it got. I only did one side, maybe tomorrow I can hit the other side. I did not even attempt to clean the porch afterwards, Dirty water so before doing the other side, I would have to start fresh! Door is in really good shape. However, I will seal it just like I did the other one,  then I will take some 2x2's for the legs, attach it to my be...

Wall Painting, Temp Blanket and Colors, Coffin/Grill and Rambling

Image
I have to admit,  this is really cool. I found this on FB. Someone painted this upon request for a client.  I have to say,  AMAZING  job. I love how it picks  up on the other wall.   Great job and I am sure someone will love this in their home, but not for me. Problem for me, I don't have walls that don't have furniture on  them, and personally I would consider it a wasted wall if I could not use it for furniture. For years I have wanted to do  a temperature blanket/afhgan  but come the first of the year I  am never ready to start on one. I never have my colors planned or the yarn bought for the project. Again, this year, I  was not ready, but I was determined that I was starting one. The thoughts are that you start on  Jan. 1st at which point you  should have your yarn, the colors  you want, the size and etc. I learned of a website that allows you to go back to  a day, year and city to  see the weather that...
