Routine, and Holding Onto

Image
When I was younger, I never thought about routines. I guess there were some but nothing that I  can say I really stuck to. However, these days, there are a few routines. One of them is my morning routine. I get up these day and fix my coffee, if I need it. I say that cause I really don't drink it for enjoyment, I  do for headaches. If I wake with one, I have  coffee. I get headaches easy. Anyway, I head to my corner in the couch, I surf FB and I blog. Misty however, has developed her own routine. Waking with me,  sometimes like yesterday morning she woke me. I went to the kitchen,  put coffee on, and once it was done I grabbed the laptop.  Leaning back on a pillow,  coffee beside me, laptop on  lap and I started my FB'ing. With comments to make,  replies to get to,  I usually end up closing the laptop, cause there is no way to do those things with her curled up on my chest. I close the laptop,  finish the coffee and lay my hea...

Marie over at    Island Musings Made this comment on one of my post about the reunion. Such a large family! Marie, yes, and there was almost as many not  there as was there.  I prepared my grandsons for  the meeting, they have  never been around that  many FAMILY members!!! Esp. DJ, he is an introvert but he enjoyed it the most... Got any deer hunters here? I know most of you are women, but that don't mean you  can't hunt. My niece was  a deer hunter, would field dress them and pull them out of  the woods.  Don't do it much now with  three kids.  Anyway, 15 to 20 mins down the road there is a processing plant. And it is deer season. Processing has begun. They tag them for the customer that brings them in, then they take them in to process  them.  When I worked for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation there  were three Admin Assistants for Medicaid Fraud.  Deborah worked with the  east Tenne...

Morning, Misty, Lily, Favorite Food, Events and Hats

Morning... and the Merriest of Thanksgivings  to you and yours.   I know you must wonder why I always have pics of  Misty and not so much of  Lily... Well, the reason is, when I sit, painting, blogging, surfing the  net, or just watch tv, Misty don't  care, she will push her way over what I am doing to be on me. \ And if you wonder why she  is a mama's baby, this is the reason. Lily, is so unlike that. She  only request to be fed and to be rubbed, on her terms of course. Lily, however, loves her spot on the back of the couch. Thanksgiving is upon us. I will have had two Thanksgiving meals when all is said and done.  With that said, my favorite part of the meal is the dressing. Next in line would be the  cream potatoes, and truth be know, I love to have both on my fork at the same time! Topping that off, also on the  same fork, cranberry sauce. My middle grandson asked last year what cranberry sauce was, once I told him, he stated th...

Morning Coffee, Christmas Decor, Closeup, Grands, and Misty River

Good morning  blogging peeps!   I don't normally shoot      really close up, it tends to  show flaws. However, my grandson wanted to photo bomb a shot I  was taking the other day, we  ended up with a really closeup shot!!! This closeup shot shows not flaws, just freckles!! Such a cutie pie. He did not want to have his pic made at  Burger King, but finally agreed. DJ on the other hand, never agrees! So. I had to catch him off guard. Sometimes however, he does get in the pics, when he is  being silly. Like putting up a wall between Amber and I on the drive. See the head by Ambers head? Now he is willing to have his pic made, so he sticks it through the hole even more. Silly. I used to worry about this boy.. he was such an introvert. Thought he would never get a personality. Now, he has more and more. He says the silliest things, without a change in his voice, and you are  trying to figure if he  is serious, joking or showin...
