Tuesday Morn Coffee, Butterflies, Ants, Weird, Brady Bunch, Wheel and Weather

Image
Did Tuesday morning coffee on the deck with  the girls. The butterflies I picked up  at Dollar General, a buck  each. They come with a spiral metal thingy that comes up from  the top that you stick pics or a name card in them.  I took the spiral thingy out, painted them purple and yellow, since they were blue. Then I added a yellow  ribbon to the purple one and a purple ribbon to the yellow one. These are to hang in Evie's room.  Went out to pick up  B at school to take him to his PT. I noticed this.... Little close to the porch, and as long as  they play pretty by not coming in the house,  I will let them live. I saw this on FB... I love it. Cory and I had a conversation just the  other day. The conversation  went sort of like this comment. Only DJ (middle grandson)  was mentioned and the fact  that he calls me ODD... Cory laughed, nope, I am  sticking with strange! At which point I said to him the same thing I said to DJ... THANK YOU! I also saw this on  FB. How does this make y

Days Work, Porch Cleaning, and My Girls

I cut Thursday but Saturday I  finally got around to  weed eating. With that,  I kept going, of course what one of you can prob  do would prob be a lot  more than me. I blew the winter crap  and the grass clippings off the porch.  Scrubbed the porch and the stuff on it. Amber and Will came and moved the bench I  put together weeks ago from the deck to the porch. So,  I moved the pieces of the other bench to the  front porch and proceeded  to put it together. Then I sat things up. One bench on one end of the  long porch and one on the other.  I only have one table so I I had Sunday morning coffee on that end of the porch. I watered my plants  then. I still have a few things that I left on the  porch but I was worn out.  Monday, I have to run to the post office, drop cardboard off at recycle and I have some bags of  trash that I will take  off of packing material.  When I get home, I think I am taking down the daybed in the girls room. No one  ever uses it, I am going to put it on the

Coffee, Misty, Lily, Blooms, and Critters

Sunday morning on the deck.  Coffee, laptop and  the girls. Beautiful morn. Here is a pic I took  of Misty on Saturday afternoon, sometimes she just sits and looks at me! But Sunday afternoon  she curled up next to me, sucked on the  blanket while she kneaded. She was sleepy and wanted a nap. The other girl has  decided the glider is hers. Saturday and  all day Sunday, she took that spot for hers. I took a moment to  sit beside Lily Bit  but did not stay long,  that look said  ENOUGH!! This is a ground cover,  not sure of the name,  but I have had this for years. Usually just green,  but its blooming! My flowers that weathered over the winter, seeds  from Mom Beverly's  memorial. Cutting the grass a few days ago and had to laugh  at the frogs hopping all around me. Tiny little ones and  one big fat one. Sorry, no pics. Moths of all kinds. Little white furry looking  one and this whitish blue color one. But these, skinks are  all over the place. Saturday, I walked out  to the front

When Pigs Fly into Your Heart and the Meet Greet of the Pigs

I posted the other day about this book and the woman that wrote it. I love reading on  this book and remembering when Ms. Lawanda posted these stories on FB, before deciding  to write this book. One funny thing about this book, is the names have been changed to protect the innocent! Just kidding, when the pigs started their journey across several properties to visit,  and eat off Ms. Lawanda, she had no clue their names. Visiting with them daily, she and her grandkids gave  these visitors NEW names. This is Razor  AKA (per Ms. Lawanda) Winston. Winston was around when I started visiting the  farm. Named by the  owner, Chris.  I recall at one point  Chris telling me that  Razor was not a potbelly, but he thinks Razor had a mix of a Razorback pig. That explained to me why he looked different than the others.    In the book Razor is mentioned as having hair that stood up. He was the first visitor that went venturing out off  his home property, over the  fields, through the grass and  thr
