Laying Low and I Do Dream Team Pics

Image
I hate being down.  I know, I spend a lot of time down but.. this is different, I can't push and go out and about like normally. Here is what I have decided to do. Christmas Eve ~ headache, runny and stuffy nose, tight bronchial tubes... normally I would write that off to allergies esp the way the wind has been blowing. But then I realized I was running a fever. Christmas Day~ same except for fever that did not take place till dusk. Yesterday~ same only no fever. Today~headache, and body achy (course that could be the Fibro pain kicking in more). Anyway...symptoms for COVID include headache, fever, tight lungs and runny and or stuffy nose. Allergies and a cold has the same symptoms as well as the flu. Could not get a rapid COVID test today, but I did think about going for a flu test and then decided that prob the best thing to do is just cont to lay low and do nothing. Listening to a report yesterday I learned that COVID with someone that has had sho...

Next Year, and Chilling

Image
I saw this and thought it so cute.  I made this up a few weeks ago for Julie to send out via social  media yesterday. So right now, I am  just hanging around  thinking I need to  start putting  Christmas stuff away... Or not! Its  Sunday and I am still not feeling all peppy. Pretty sure it is not COVID but I want to get a rapid test done tomorrow before I start getting out and  about. I ran a fever, highest was 99.5 on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day, headache, tight chest, and bouncing between runny and  stuffy nose, but no fever till dusk.  Today, chest a little tight, slight headache, no fever. Strange thing is the chest is not tight constantly, nose runs off and on and other times its stuffy.  Just not feeling like  me.  I do have laundry to do get done... Not my pic. Pam

Christmas Cards, Angel, Gift and Visit

Image
Over the years and  with social media folks have moved away from  sending Christmas cards.  I however, have not. I am also very pleased with all I got this  year. More so than in the last few yrs. Here is one I got~ the next generation. One of my best friends from jr. high, Julie that owns the bakery, her daughter always sends me a card. This is Julies grandchildren. So sweet. My daughter in law and her mom bought all the  pieces (not sure how it works) and they made their cards. This is from my daughter in law, Britney and my son Cory. So pretty. This next one is from  Britney's mom. Beautiful.  This was hand done and  sent to me all the way from  Canada.   I also got this cute ornament from Gigi and Rain (James and Julies furs). Yesterday my neighbor delivered a gift of popcorn to  me. That was so sweet. A couple weeks ago I  made some of my neighbors a reindeer ornament and delivered it with  a Christmas card so t...

Chilling at Home, Weddings and Wine

Image
Mele Kalikimaka   Just some pics of me chilling at home.   Here are the last  couple weddings that actually took place before our 100th. I know I told you about the 100th wedding for  the yr but I am  not sure I shared with  you that both the bride and groom make their  own wine.  They brought Julie a Blackberry wine and gave me a peach. Oh my gosh, amazing. Smooth and peachy. Had a glass while sitting in front of the tree. Nice. Plus a 20 dollar tip for each of us. Perks of working the venue. Pam

Food, More Food and 100th

Nollaig shona duit   Are you hungry? Well, you might be once you read this post! HAHA I had some cream potatoes that I needed to either eat or toss out so I decided to fry me up some  tater cakes. I you ever eaten tater cakes? All you do is add an egg, tablespoon of flour and  mix.  YUM. So Monday night I decided to get ahead of the game on doggie treats. A month or so ago I decided to start making them for  Chey since I was paying more and more and not getting much. Plus, these are healthier.  Last night I blended up some oats, added a tablespoon of peanut butter, an apple chopped in small pieces and  probiotic yogurt. I also made some with  blueberries. I already had some in the freezer made with banana. I keep some in the fridge but most of them I freeze so they don't go bad and I  pull them out as I need them.  While these were baking I  made some Christmas Crack.  Saltine crackers, butter, brown sugar and  choc chips....
