Horses, House, Surprises, and Cave,

Image
Bet you will be happy to hear, that I think, I am done painting for now. I need to start getting all I have done ready for the craft show. Pricing which I am still not sure about, checking to see if I need to cover up any spots with paint, paint the back of the  door hangers and seal. Seal all the objects  that need sealing, put yard, ribbon,  rope, saw teeth or whatever for hanging. Wrap and pack. Anyway, I thought I would paint a pic I took of some horses.  Keep in mind, what I paint NEVER looks like what the pic looks like. Also, keep in mind, when you are sittingBut up close to a pic you are painting it sometimes becomes hard to see what is in front of your face. But before I move on to that let me tell you about the horse on the right, it was supposed to  be dirty white. That was hell to paint. And if you notice, it did not stay white. I had issues doing the shading and stuff without it taking over. I decided that it would be brown. The horse on the left wa...

Here I am again! I am hoping that everyone is doing well, able to get out and enjoy the nice weather, it that is the type of weather you are having. I  know not everyone is seeing spring as of yet. I found thie next two items interesting. But anytime I can learn things, I enjoy it.  You know, I am thinking I need to get a life! Just about all I am doing is staying home and  painting. haha. With that, my number have come up but even with that,  my body seems to be taking its time building up my energy. However, the last few days, I have had a little  more than what has become my normal. You know I like repurposing items, and when it comes to painting of surfaces that I can revamp, I will. These were gifted to me several yrs ago by Julie at the  venue and they needed love. I stripped the vinyl lettering off  of all four and primmed the wood since it had a shiny finish.  Here friends is what I painted on two  of them.  That is painted on tw...

Errands, Buys and crafting

Image
On Thursday I headed in to Dickson, Rand time. I dropped off all the 2.5x3.5 cards for the vending machine. Had a muffin and hot tea. Blueberry cream cheese muffin that was YUM and some ginger turmeric tea.   Just before leaving I put my 75 cents in the vintage vending machine for my first card.  One of my errands included a stop at, in Felicity’s words, Hobby Hobby! I needed craft paint and Walmart does not carry what the Hobby does, then again, the Hobby don’t carry what the Hobby did where I used to live. Still adjusting to the lack of convenience. But with that said, I found clearing things! I saw this and felt it would be adorable on the shelves I have cut out and need to sand before putting up. Issue there is while doing errands, I failed to pick up sandpaper! Original price, 6.99. Price I got it for was 3.49. Also got this adorable set of two dish towels and a dishrag.  Original cost was 5.99 and I got for  2.99. Those are what I call my happy buys. I really, ...

MIA, Painting (again), Things You Might No Know

Hi all... I am so sorry, I have been such a bad, ban blogger as of late. Please, over look my tardiness. On Monday, I had a camera ran down my throat and into my gut and then, hoping it was a different camera, who knows, I had one ran the other direction. It was colon check time. Just so happens, it had been three yrs and it was time again, and at the same point my new doc wanted it done to see if I was leaking blood due to the iron issue I had. So, I sort of killed to birds with one (hopfully, two) cameras. Hey, if you can't joke about this crap (lol) what can you joke about.  I react fine with being put down...I mean to sleep, except for the fact, it takes a bit longer to work out of my system than it does most folks. I take longer with that then I do recovery from surgery. Anyway, I had that done at 7:30am Monday, came home, laid down to sleep the crap off, forgot my stay awake pill and ended up sleeping 24 hours. I do get up and go to the bathroom, feed the cats and to get onto...

Art, art and more art, Bobby Ewing, Misty Love and more Art

Hi....found this in my hopper to be posted but I never posted. So, here it is and I hope I am not repeating myself. Mentioned that I find peace when I am painting. So it should not sure you that I have paintings to share.  First.. Then I did this one. I love throwing my head back and looking at the tops of trees. Being in the center of the forest and looking up is great. Not finished painting door stoppers either.  But on Saturday I decided to do some serious painting. Detailed and time consuming. Oh my, I love this one! My friend Pam, who I used to kitty cat sat for went to Kroger the other day and saw Patrick Duffy aka Bobby Ewing! Apparently, he has his own line of bread out so he was promoting that.  Now, check out some Misty love. Then I went back to the craft room and painted this.. I got this idea from a pic I took back in 2010 at  Paris Landing state park. I did not nail it compared to the pic but I like it. Here is the pic I took back then. Have you been in...
