Planters, Duplex, Misty Hugs, Glove and Dolly and her Gloves

Image
Stopped at Lowes the other day after my eye  appt. and saw these little planters for air plants. Okay, here is my thoughts... and air plant? Really? They  are so tiny for one thing and for  another, they can't grow in those tiny pots. Nope, not for me. Now this I found really  interesting! A duplex mobile home. I have never heard of such  a thing. Look how long it is with  all those windows. I would really like to see the inside of this place. Before heading out for my eye appt the other day, I was checking on the  girls, gotta know where they are when  I leave. I could not find Misty, then  I did! lol... she is hugging that box and  enjoying that heat. When I packed up over  a yr ago to move here, I of course packed up my winter stuff, including gloves. When I got here, I unpacked and put them where they needed to be. All this time, not  thinking that I might need to keep Misty's security  "blankets aka gloves"....

AN D mean while  in Tennessee News this  week.  We have a bear.. Yes, you heard me correctly, a bear in the subs of  Gallatin TN. Keep in mind, Gallatin  Tn is no where, not even in a thought, close to the  mts of TN., where bears can  be seen. Bear Sightings in Gallatin! We’ve received reports of bear sightings in the Gallatin area. While this can be surprising, it's not uncommon—especially as bears roam in search of food. Here’s how you can help: Do not approach or feed the bear. Secure your trash and keep pet food indoors. Remove bird feeders and other attractants if possible. Let’s all do our part to keep the community—and the bear—safe. If you see the bear, give it space. Stay safe, Gallatin! No, I am not near here. When I lived in Old Hickory, I was about 30 mins from there, so I am just a tad further away now. By the way, before I venture off to talk about more TN news, does, without looking it up, anyone know where the name Old Hickory...

On May 19, 1786, the homesteader and his three sons left the cabin to clear some additional land for planting. As they worked, they were set upon by a band of Shawnee warriors. One of the first arrows fired by a Shawnee hit the homesteader in the chest, killing him. The oldest son, 16-year-old, ran back to the cabin to retrieve a musket. Twelve-year-old ran toward a fort about 1/2 mile to the north. The youngest son, nine-year-old, ran to his father's side. When the 16 year old returned with the musket, young son the 9 year old was being dragged away by a Shawnee warrior. The oldest took careful aim and killed the Shawnee with a single shot. The homesteader was buried on the south side of the cabin. A woman with three sons and baby daughter were at increased risk at the isolated cabin, so the homesteader’s wife, abandoned the cabin and moved with her ch...
