Snow and Ice, No Power, Hero, Inside Tent, Misty and Snow, Journey Out from Home

Image
I am BACK!! Saturday it started with some tiny flakes of snow, but  it was coming  fast and hard. I could not stand it, so of  course I had to get  out and about in the yard. I pulled out  Mr. and Mrs. All Bones. Read the sign, they only wanted snow. That was not how it went. Snow, then ice. YIKES.    Then   this happened....... Sunday morning I woke to no power. Wishful thinking on my part, I thought it would be fixed soon. Course, when you sleep through the worst of it,  wake to no power, and you have no clue what is going on around you  in the world, you hope for the best. However, with that said, this is  only one shot of the ice and with all this, it can  cut power fast! Trees break and  out goes the power. I made a tent over my  queen size bed, and the girls and  I slept there Sunday night.   Come Monday around 11,  My son in law made it over to pick me up.  Temp in the house was  d...

Temps, Cold, All Bones, Preparing and Shopping

7:08 pm Friday night. Yep, feel like 11 sure does make it cold out there. Burrrr Looking like its going to  get even colder. Mr and Mrs. All Bones are patiently waiting for  SNOW. Walkway has been covered, coated with salt. Little charger thingy is charged and ready to go. I have six solar lights in a pot, gathered sunlight. Yes, they are still outside but hopely if there is some sun tomorrow it will keep them charged. If I lose my electricity  they will come in the house  for light. My backdoor is glass, full length glass, has been  covered with a blanket, the window with the cat door is covered, over the sink window is  covered, faucet is  dripping and cabinet doors are open. Bathroom sink, dripping and cabinet doors open. All my thick winter pjs are washed and dried, along with my thick socks. Just in case we get ice, I have blankets in my room where the girls and I will  curl up. I was slowly cruising through Wally World the other day, first o...

Sunset, Arrest, Braden, Beckham and Evie

Monday evening. Well, its a wait and see sort of  game starting TODAY! One map shows we could get five to six inches of snow, OR ICE!  I am prepared as much as I can be if I get hit by snow. Ice, that can be iffy. Again, prepared as much as  I can since I don't have a generator. Something I am going to purchase in the off season. All you folks in the line of  this winter storm that is moving around over half of  the US...stay safe, stay  warm and most of all stay  WARM. Just saw this on FB. Authorities confirmed the "individual responsible for this incoming winter weather" has been taken into custody. The individual in question was not identified in an  initial post, but she can be seen handcuffed, and  standing in a blue, glittery dress with sheer sleeves. An officer standing nearby can also be seen holding  what appears to be a tiara with pink gemstones. "The winter storm is still coming," police wrote. "The cold never bothered her any...

Socks, Snow, Snuggles

Image
Goodest morning to you  all! I was never a sock person. When I was little mom had to stay on me all the time to  put my socks on. I would have no choice but to give in, but when I crawled in bed, they came off. Since menopause and  weight loss, things changed, my feet get cold. So with that, here is a pic of the last couple  days of socks. Yep....folks I will blog about anything! These are what I wore after my bath last night, off they came as I got in bed and back on this morn. Just too darn cold to think about taking them off but then again, might be a tad to cold to get out of the pjs. Apparently, things will be getting a little worse before it warms up. Check out the low on Monday. WORSE, or more fun looks like will be coming in  for the weekend. I would like some snow, however, 18 to 23 inches seems like  more than I would care to see. This morning I got a lot of snuggle time. Misty  crawled up on me and slept for an hour. Stay warm folks. Pam
