Oh yes, I know, I am a tad over a month late with this post but, hey, I am retired, I can do things on my own schedule! Plus, the thought for this post just hit me. haha Funny how that works. Adventures since moving in Dec. 2023~ First off, before the actual move, I was in recovery from three surgeries (in ten days). Nothing major mind you, but anytime the body is put to  sleep (a term when putting an animal down, by the way), it takes a hit. So, three hits in ten days.  If you remember, I was sick leaving the hospital  with COVID, UTI, and just fighting to feel real again. Less than a month after the last surgery, I bought a  house (what was I thinking, oh yeah, I prob was not thinking). With that done I needed to work on getting my childhood home  in selling condition, keeping in mind, I  was sick since Jan. 2023 with those stones and the pain that go around was horrible. Sorry, to say, I had cleaning and  organizing to do. Plus, the den and b...

Misty, Yarn, Tent, Rocks, Cans, Blue VS Brown,

Hi, howdy, what's up! For those of you that  have cats, been around cats, or just seen  videos of cats, you know  that their attention  can be caught by the littlest thing, like yarn. And if you are not aware  of all that, let me just  tell you that crocheting  with a big ball of gray of fur around, is not  easy. They chase the yarn, they pull on it, and they  even sit on it! Then, they curl up under the throw that you drape over the back of the couch, making a tent for them, and nap. I have been working away on the afghan. It started as a  scrap yarn one, but I threw in  two different stitches and  started by going straight across,  when I flipped and did some rows going up and down. I call it a crazy afghan. Years ago, after a trip to  California, where I brought  back some rocks, I thought  I would paint on them.  La Jolla, is beautiful and  I got this rock there. My thoughts were to take ...

Internet, Honey, Gaps in Fridge, Hide and Seek with the QUEEN and Weather and Blooming

I used to tell my mom that if\ if the internet had been around when I was in school, I would have graduated with straight A's. I love reading and learning new things and the net really help's with  that. More fun than doing the  research in a book. Just the other day I read this~ One tablespoon of honey is enough to keep a person alive for 24 hours. It also contains a substance that helps brain function better. YAY, I should be getting smarter by the day. I have started using honey in my hot tea that I drink once or twice a day. I feel it, the brain is thanking me!! Its Monday as I type out this post, and I just dumped a ton of  science experiments in the trash. If you are not aware of what I  am referring to ~ I cleaned out the  fridge! haha I have been here a little over a  year and like I have blogged about before, it's time to do some changing, make the house mine or change what I am not totally fond of. I had been wondering long before this last clean ...
