Life Through the Eyes of my Scattered Brian

 Wayne Osmond, of the famous Osmond Brothers, passed away  Jan. 1, 2025, of a stroke.  I grew up being a big fan of the Osmonds, esp. Donny. Matter of fact, I still have all their albums from  the 70s. RIP Wayne. I had a birthday card to paint for my DIL on Thursday morning. I used some black watercolor paint, then  shortly afterwards, I needed more. Problem, I could not find my tube of paint. Standing up to look around for it, I looked down in my cup of water and there it was, thank goodness I  had the lid on tight. Even after all that, I painted two cards, the bday card and a thank you card, but failed to take a pic of either one. I am getting so bad at doing that.  It's crazy to see both these girls this close together. So, I had to take  a pic of them together.  New Years Eve, just chilling with the girls. Actually, I played with Lily then Misty chilled with me. haha.....and though she  was tempted,  she was such a good girl that she did not bother the yarn. She just watched. I hope you did not do your laundry on Jan. 1st. Apparently, it's bad luck. So, I did not do any, luck  was on my side, I had mine done! I did however, put the girls  in my bedroom at two mins till midnight, opened up  the front door and from the back  door to the front I sweep out the negativity and bad vibes. Out the front door they went. Shut the front door and  let the girls out.  You know I was so surprised to learn that my middle and  youngest grandkids have never seen the Wizard of Oz. WHY?   Here is your learning part of my blog today.... Wow, how have I lived 65 years and never heard  this before? Well, it appears that  maybe winter is going to find us starting Jan. 7, 2025. The problem with that is, Global Warming, winter might find us,  but with that said, it could be 80 degrees the next day. What I have noticed in  the last few years is  WIND. Yes wind, it seems  like the last couple of years we have days  of lots of wind. Course, usually that is a sign of something being pushed in,  rain or a cold front, either way, my body feels what is coming. During the holiday season I usually love the lights, the decor and the music and even though I put my stuff up early, the mood never hit me. I really enjoyed family, friends  and food, the three F's, but this yr., lights, music and decor did not help.  With that said, I am glad to have my window in my view from the couch!!
