Fudge, Sleeping Arrangements, Simple Fun, and Snow Folks
I did something Thursday
evening that I have
NEVER
done. I made fudge.
I made Brown
Sugar Fudge.
WOW...
it is sweet!
3 cups of brown sugar
1cup of butter
3/4 cup of evaporated milk
2 cups of powdered sugar
in a large pan, bring brown
sugar, butter and evaporated milk
to a boil. Boil for 10 mins, stirring
a lot to keep from sticking.
Remove from heat, add
powered sugar and with an electric
mixer on med speed. Mix
for 5 mins.
If you wanted to add one
cup of pecans, do it now.
Spread fudge evenly in
an 8 inch rectangular pan.
Cool and cut.
YUM, YUM, YUM!
Next, I think I will try my
hand at choc fudge and maybe
peanut butter fudge.
I also need to remember
to get some honey so I
can make some bread.
Have not made any in
awhile.
Sometimes I think the girls
discuss things. You see, my gray
ball of fur always sleeps with me.
Lily, however, will not sleep in the
same bed that Misty is in.
All of a sudden, Misty started
sleeping on the couch and Lily in
the bed.
in the bed and Lily is somewhere
near the bed, yelling at me to get
up. HAHA....before getting a
cat no one told me how much fun
they could be.
Pics from here on out are
thanks to the internet.
Ever see things like this and
wonder back to your childhood?
Those days were fun, but
so simple. Sometimes I
miss the simpler times of
growing up cause we all know
that ADULTING is not always fun!
I remember in the summer, playing
hide and seek using our house,
the one next door, and the two across
the street, after dark. We did not have
streetlights either, just the porch lines
to see us around. After a bit we
would go in and get flashlights.
Truth be known, we did not really
need to hide but we could just
stand by a tree, the house, or
lay on the ground, but then there
was the bushes and trees we
could get behind if we felt the need
to really hide.
When the coast was clear,
run to base. During those months
we could be outside, we generally
was, not to come in till
way after dark.
Kids today miss out on so
much fun.
When I was younger with
kids I tried to make fun for them
when it was winter months or
the weather was bad.
We would have picnics on
blankets on the living room
floor.
and hit it around but you could
not let it touch the ground.
too much time on games in
their rooms.
They are missing those simple
times we had for making
our own fun.
What sort of fun on the bad
days did you do as a child or
do with your child?
Back to my pics now.
Thought I would show off my
snow people. The next two
pics are some I picked up
here and there.
The one below, made
from pieces of
cut wood
to make the face and the
hat.
word SNOW are a couple
I made again, just from
pieces of wood.
Speaking on making, I
still need to paint Felicity's
chair. Gotta get on that so
I don't leave to the last
min. I also have one thing I
am making for Amber for her
bday on the 19th. Just gotta
paint a little on that.
Maybe today which is Sunday.
I crashed yesterday and
slept and laid around.
Just needed it.

Love all the Christmas decorations. I love this time of year.
Have a fabulous day and week, Pam. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
Love all your snowmen. I remember the days of all the neighborhood kids getting together to play red rover or just ride bikes.
