Cooking, Inside Back Door, Dresser, Plants and Paws

I have been, and please
don't faint, cooking
more. Partly because I
am staying in, partly cause
I just like being in this
kitchen more, and partly
to save money!

HAHA....but for whatever
reason, I have been cooking.
When I cook however, I
usually get several meals
out of one meal. But for
Wed. night I made a salad instead.

Also on Wed. I was over at the
other house doing somethings.
Yes, I am hiring painting and
work do be done at the house
but to save money I am doing
some also. You see, this move
I sort bled money so I am
trying to make things easy
on the budget.

After being at the older home
I came in and painted the
inside of the outside door
going on to the deck at
the newer house. I did
the outside of that outside
door (following me??)
last week. But I needed to
have a color mixed for the
inside.

NOW...that door is all done.
The front door is solid wood
and although I would LOVE to
paint the outside of the front door
it is a pretty wood so I will leave
it alone. HAHA...but that is okay
cause I still have two french doors
and the door coming in from the
garage to play with!!

While at the other house
yesterday I had a friend
stop by. I was giving away
a dresser and she knew a
woman that needed it so
she came to pick that up.

Also while there I dug her
up some plants.
I dug up a Forsythia bush and
took to Julie the other day.

I came Rebecca some Sedum
or what my mom always called
Live Forever, cause you can't
kill it.
This batch will bloom close
to fall with a pinky purple flower.
Here in TN usually when it blooms
we will have our first cool spell after
the summer right at two weeks after
the bloom.

Rebecca got right on planting
last night after getting these home.

This is a version of vinca vine.
Blooms a beautiful purple flower.
Will take over wherever you plant
it.

And some Hosta.
When I moved to the house
28 yrs ago I took some of these
from the house I lived in.
They have spread and I have
dug up and gave so many
away. Yes, even though mom has
some I had given her here, I will
still take some of these with me.

Last yr I have Julie some of
the above vinca. She tagged
me in a photo on fb yesterday.
It bloomed and she was so
excited.

UPS came and delivered
a package yesterday.
This sweet young lady I
know made this for me
and sent it to me.

No photo description available.

With the sweetest of notes.

I think everyone I know
knew how much Dakota
meant to me. He was my best
friend. He never questioned me,
he just wanted to be near me,
to love him and to keep him safe.
And in return he loved me and did
his best to keep me safe. He watched
over me, and stayed as close
as he could to me at all times.
I miss my bud, staying busy
has helped but then there are those
times I reach to pet Chey thinking
it is him.

Anyway, I have the most
loving, caring and sweetest
friends. Thank you Jenny.

Good to keep at necessary stuff, to be done.

And good to cook. A change for many people, but who knows, they may like it, eventually. -grin-

Dogs do not judge. Unlike people, who are wired to judge. No wonder we love them so.

We cook at home most of the time so this is nothing new to us. The only time we ate out was when we were boating. Can't do that now, so home we stay.

Things are looking up at your new digs. Good for you. A work of love.

Have a fabulous day and weekend, Pam. ♥

I wish vinca vine were a perennial here. :) Take care, my dear, and be gentle as possible with yourself.

Lots of lovely plants.
Cooking is fun, or so our Dad says. Everything is sure looking nice and that was a sweet card.

I wish I felt like cooking. I've gotten to the point where I would rather just make a sandwich than cook dinner.

They are our best friends, unconditional loves, our secret keepers. That was such a kind gesture from Jenny.

And you have been busy (but then, I think you always are!)
