Odds and Ends Dec. 10, 2013

If you are a facebooker then I know
you have seen
these cartoons where
you put yourself and someone
else in them.

Melissa Wyatt, a woman I have
never met personally but have
known for several, several years
did this up of me and her the other day.

LOL....good one Melissa.
I met Melissa and her beautiful daughter
over another fun website that closed
down about 5 years ago called
"Clubmom"!
One day we will meet face to face because
we actually only live about 2.5 hours
away from each other!

Anyway, everyone that knows me knows
that I had a hard time excepting winter
this year. I had a hard time giving up
the flip flops and opened toed shoes.
And even now with it 28 and feels like
of 19 this morning, I only wore a
sweater. Melissa pegged
me good on this one.

Last night I was feeling the good coming
in, that is rare for me, most times
I am just plain HOT.
So since I was not feeling so up
to par I fixed me a mixture
of 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup
pineapple juice, sprinkled in
ground cloves and cinnamon
and just a touch of brown sugar
and heated it up on the stove.
Pleasant drink.

Don't faint please.....if you know me
at all you know I try with all my heart
to not COOK!
I have my reasons for this....
my kids got a cooked meal
almost every day for breakfast.
We could not afford to eat out so
they had a cooked meal every night.
When they moved out I tried
to cook for just one and I found
it so hard so .....
I stopped cooking!

But today at work we were having
brunch and instead
of signing up to bring plates and
cups I said I would do the
tater casserole....
so yes, last night, I COOKED.

Bag of frozen Kroger square cut taters
8 oz of sour cream
1 can of mushroom soup
med onion chopped
1/2 cup melted butter
Bag of cheese, save some to top.
salt and pepper
mix in a large bowl and
then pour into a sprayed
casserole dish.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake 350 for about an hour to
an hour and 45 (depending on
your stove).

LOL....for those that don't know THE KING....
this is him, Dakota, AKA THE KING.
Why the KING?
Look at him, he is at Granny's (my moms),
laying up on the bed and a pillow and
having his pic made.

Cutest frame my mom found for me,
so now it sits on my desk at work.
Yep...he is spoiled.

Took this yesterday while visiting my
daughter. She never wears her hair
down.....but I am not sure how
she can wear all THAT up!

Not only long.....it is THICK.
That would give me a headache but
I wished in my older years (NOW)
that I had a 1/4 of it!

My teen years, the best years were
in the 70's. I became the biggest
fan of Bobby Sherman, Donny Osmond
and the rest of the Osmond Brothers.

Tiger Beat was an awesome magazine that
I got every time a new one came out.
Always including posters.
Donny became the biggest
teen idol for me, pics of him and
his brothers were all over my room.

I was so excited months ago when I heard
that him and Marie, who I think is an amazing
woman, was coming to Nashville
to do a Christmas concert.

Yep, that day I was on the internet
ordering my tickets!
I was going to order just me one cause
I was going with or without anyone and
I could not think of anyone that would
want to go.....but then one of my besties
said she would go with me.

TONIGHT!
Dec. 10, 2013
Nashville

I will be watching my teen idol who
I think also turned out to be
an amazing man and his
sister perform and sing
Christmas
songs to
ME...
Yes, he will be singing to just ME!

No camera allowed but
we will see what I can do with the cell.

Report to follow!

 Thanks for stopping in,
Pam

The cartoon is pretty funny! Your daughter has beautiful long hair. I loved everything from the 70's :)
