Knobs and Lily

I have picked up 3 sets of
these older knobs for my
doors. I have new doors
to replace my old ones but
I am going to replace all knobs
with these.

Question, spray paint them
or leave them the way they
are. My facebook fans vote to
leave it this way...
so I am leaving it this way.
The one for my bedroom door is
white.

She is a total mess.

She even loves the empty
watering bowl I keep on the deck.
haha

Oh my gosh....
love that face.

She stretches out long.

Had my finger on the button at
the correct time for the shot
below.

She actually curled up in my arms
to sleep.

Adorable.

My thought for the day!

All About Whatever

Showed yesterday about
the stars I found at
Goodwill.
I knew I had another one
around here but could
not figure out what I
did with it.

Found it on the deck on the
bakers stand along with the
plants out there.

The one I had goes so well with
the new ones.
Looks really good on the
front porch.

Still adding a touch here and
there in the antique guest room.
I took these off the wall of
my room cause they fit so well.

I painted these years ago
(Goodwill buys also).

As you can tell I distressed
them just a little bit,
I love that look.

With that said, I was thinking that I
need to distress the other
pieces to match this stuff.

These three pieces just
look too new and fresh so
I will take some sandpaper
to them to give them a light
distress look.

Speaking of these pieces, I went back
to Lowe's and got one more
pull. My mind was telling me
that I only needed 6 when I
needed 7.
Its done now.

Went in Kroger the other day and
saw these. I did not need to know
that they sold these gummy
candies. LOL....yep, they
were good.

As Lily grow each day she is finding
that there are more things to get
into.

TP being one.
Yesterday she got the nose tapping
and the NO, NO...

That did not work because
this took place 3 times
today.

The last time she got sprayed
with the water bottle.
She has not played with the TP
since the spray!!

I LOVE this.
And yes you know that I am
thinking about doing is!
Actually thought about putting
it on the back of the bathroom
door down stairs....

I can here the laughter coming
from inside the bathroom when
friends pull the door closed.
HAHA

If I was still working I am sure
this is what I would be saying!

Fibromyalgia and Dr. Phil

While on Facebook last night I ran across
this.

I started to watch it and to be honest with you
tears started to form in my eyes.
This really hit home.

Where Crystal talks about not being able
to hit that mark of being a mother, or
working, I found myself shaking my head
in agreement.  How it is really hard cause
you don't look sick.

The comment her hubby made about going from
high gear to no gear, how Dr. Phil explains it,
so true. My blogging friends I thank you for
all your great comments on what I do in
a day. But that is why....I push and push
to get done what I can on a good day.
Then I crash for several days.

Please watch the video.
Crystals comment about feeling
like she is not living, just existing...
that is my life. That is how I feel
daily. Fibro has robbed me of so much
in my life.

Hope this helps some of you to understand
a little about Fibro.
Thanks for taking the time to few the
video.

Yesterday, Today and Maybe Tomorrow...

Found this on the
internet...
on PINTEREST
of course!

Neat idea for the bathroom.

Headed out the other day
and I saw this in the driveway.
I thought at first it was a mom
grasshopper carrying her baby
grasshopper....haha, after looking
that up on the internet I found that
grasshoppers leave the babes as
soon as they are born.

So....I think they need
to get a room.

This was on my car at the same
time I saw the
grasshoppers.

This is an Assassin Bug.
I hear they are wicked,
they sting or bite...
ugly looking anyway.

I am looking for items
to pull together a Halloween
costume so I went to
the Goodwill.

HAHA....now I know I have issues
sleeping at time but I think
I would not do this....
go to Goodwill to nap!

Years ago....about 15 or so
mom bought this dress on one
of her Kohl's adventures.
It was $30 marked to 18 and I
am sure she got more off
at the sale cause she would not
have paid 18 for this.

It was too small on me at the
time. I kept it.

I can wear it now.

Great buy at Goodwill today.
The larger star was 2.99
and the smaller one was 1.99.
I have them hanging on the front
porch.

I also found this..
haha

I did not purchase this but
it was perfect.
A bone shaped frame
with a crown on it...
for the KING.

After my adventures out
today I come home to this mess.
YES...that sweet looking
LILY did this.
A new roll of TP!
I went to pick it up and
she wanted to play in it.

After a couple of taps on the
nose and the repeat of the
word NO....maybe she got
the meaning!

Went out yesterday evening
to look around the yard and
throw some water on my
plants. Every thing including the
yard is really green from the
rains we had been having
but that will not last unless
we get more.

This is my Crape Myrtle
(red) bush back in the
spring.

Look at all the new growth
on the top of it now.

This is my red bush and
it has just a couple of
blooms on it since it is
still new.

But this bush is weighted down
with pink blooms.
It is an older bush. It was
planted....in 1988!

It was a small little bush
given to me by a friend I
worked with the yr before the
Nashville tornado's that
actually took her bushes (mature ones)
out...

Yesterday while checking out he
yard I noticed that this was
just hanging....NO breeze
hot or cool was stirring.

I think I need my crown!
haha

Blogging About Last Night and Today

I have been waiting till late in the
afternoon before I head out
to do errands.

Today I wanted to go to
Goodwill...
I am hunting for things
to make my Halloween
costume.
Great place to pull that
stuff together.

And...I just wanted to
get out, so I rode around just
looking at things...
mailboxes, color doors...etch

And I saw this in a yard.

You really can't tell with this pic
but it is a pallet!
Now...I have to set out to get
a pallet to paint! haha.

A block away I saw this...
looks like this is done on a
wood board. Not like the
other one but just as
impressive.

Remember the pot rack baby
bed spring?
And the sag?

A smaller S hook and everything
is better! I even added
some  other antique
things. I love it.

After putting the fix on FB a friend
told me that she loved it.
With that conversation I told her
that I bet some folks think I
am nuts and I did not care.
She came back with only folks
that would think that would be the
ones with no creative vision.
I thanked her and she went on
to say she was sincere, that she loves
the way I see thing. That I truly take
trash and make it beautiful.

That brought tears...
that was so sweet.

Okay...it was one of those nights
last night....no sleep although
I did take a 2
 hour nap this afternoon
but those no sleep nights are
crazy.
So....what does a person
do when they can't sleep?

They paint mermaid tails on
the bathroom wall.

Or they take the hand held
vac box that Lily plays
in and covers it with
contact paper.

Yesterday I had to make
a stop at
Lowes.
My second fav store.
While checking out the
young cashier said it looked
like I was trying to avoid
being hit in the head by my wood.

With that...I had to have a selfie.

While working in the craft room
and trying to bring order to it today
I ran across this pic of mom,
my older brother and I.
I decided it need to be
in the antique room on
the table next to the bed.

Someday's....there are just
some days.  When things
just don't go right.

I picked up pulls yesterday for my
antique cabinet. The holes would not
line up. Back to Lowes today.
Changed out the pulls.

I love it.
I cleaned the paint off of one that
came off and it just did not look
good so it required new ones.

Had a request for a front
door decoration.
This is another thing you
do when you don't sleep.

Just have to add something to hang
it by and spray sealer on it.

Loving the view from the
craftroom/bedroom/office
window!

I might not have been able to sleep
but these two had no issues.
I know you guys probably think
that sleeping is all these two
do but NO....it just makes the
cutest pics.
Lily has to be up next to Dakota.

This is the best pic ever!

After the mermaid tail being painted
last night I decided that the
redone room (antique room)
needed a cute hidden surprise.
And why buy stickers to apply
when you can paint it.

Well...the creek is dry.
We need rain.
I think that is going to
happen in the next few days.

I hope so.
