Image
Headed to the chiro  on Thursday which is not  my given day but I switched up days this week. Tad early for the apt. so I  rode around a bit looking for Johnthan's (restaurant) for  a lunch coming up so I would know where to go. When I  came across this cute church. ADORABLE!!! You know I love gates,  esp. when I make them B&W. This one is nice cause you can see through the gate. My normal day for chiro is Monday and Wed. but due to having guest visit on Wed. I changed that day to Thursday. Friends, Vic, Mitzi and  Julie were coming  to visit....Vic and Mitzi were delivering my  mower to me. Chris had it since I moved to work on it. Friday is suppose to be a  NO rain day so grass will get its second cutting this yr. I have had visitors to the  house but not friends that I was going  to entertain. I actually did a little spread.  Homemade Rosemary bread.....oh yum,  the best I ever made. We had regular store  bought bread, Rosemary bread,  chicken salad, ham and turkey. Peptia

Correction, Family, Stature, Camera, Flag and Feeders

Correction~~ Great granny was not  96, she was 91. My granddaddy. Find this pic wild...the image behind granddaddy looks like a dog.  Great Granddaddy, gone  at 38 with a raptured appendix in 1918. I had a doc apt in Nashville the  other day but was a little early so I stopped at the  At Home Store. I saw this.... Hard to tell, it's about knee high for me. I had to laugh when I saw this, cause I had one just like this in the 70s!  Someone pulled the 70s mold out to remake these! A couple weeks ago I saw this at Wally World. Not exactly like the one I had but with that said, it is really close. This is what I started my photography skills on  in my early teens. BUT THE PRICE!!! WOW... Price on the film is crazy too. I also saw this at  The Home Store... Oh how much fun that would be to make! Talking about making, I stopped at GW in Mt Juliet last weekend when I went to photograph the wedding.  I found this blue and  red lantern there. I had plans for them. There is four pieces of

Painting Bday Cards and Thank You Cards

Image
I have so much  to do before guest on  Wed. but today was  chiro adjustment so  I have not felt like much of doing anything. But while I sat and did not much of anything, I decided to paint cards. I painted a bday card for Theresa, whose  bday is not till the  end of  Sept. HAHA Ahead of the game. Even putting in  envelopes and addressing them, and placing them in a certain spot. She loves Snoopy. I also did DJ's, in  Nov.  Julies whose bday is in August. On the inside I wrote,  always dance, dance in the moon light, dance in the sun, and dance in your dreams. This is not a card, it is something I made for  my Mexico food loving grandson, DJ. I will paint an 8x10 canvas and then apply this to that for him to hang in his room. And then Braden's which is  in Sept.  My great grandson's bday  in Sept. My oldest brothers bday which is in June. Thank you card for Theresa for planning my going away retirement party. And one last Thank you  card for Tammy. I need to get up early i

State Capitol, Socks, Fork It, Misty and Snowman

Image
Completed in 1859, the Tennessee State Capitol stands as an enduring landmark in Nashville. This image was created in 1864 during the Civil War. Nashville was held by Union forces, whose white tents are visible toward the center of the image. While today the Capitol is surrounded by modern buildings and landscaping, images from the Civil War allow us to see the building when it was newly built. Photographer George Barnard’s studio created this photograph as part of his pivotal work "Photographic Views of Sherman’s Campaign," published in 1866. The Capitol from the same view, now! The other day I was in the  store and I saw  these socks and thought of my mid grandson... he loves Mexican  food. So, yes, I got them for him. Then I looked over and saw these. My youngest grandson loves all animals esp. dogs. I also saw this. haha  I was doing some cleaning Saturday, that is why that mess on the floor,  plus, the tote is going to  the trash. I was trying to  cut a hole in

Cleaning, Flowerbed, Caterpillar, Bloom and the Face

Image
So Saturday I did some much needed cleaning,  I cleaned the girls room,  polished the furniture,  vacuumed the floor, and  mopped. Same with the hall, the guest bathroom, and  the guest room.  I have some stuff stacked on  each bed that I need to go through, but will get to that. After that, I went to the  backyard and made a  new flowerbed. While I was making  the flowerbed I found this guy. First one of the year. Talk about the first, my  first iris bloom about  to bust wild open. First one in my new yard. Now, your smile for  the day. Lily all stretched out. So comfy looking. And try not to love  this face coming up.   Can't help it, you know it, you gotta love it! Planted some herb seeds in pots. Growing from  seeds this yr., plants were crazy price. But I brought the  pots inside till at least next week. We had two days of freeze in the morning so  I am not taking any chances.  Have you planted any thing  so far this season? What? Pam

Spikey Things, Kitchen Window, Doggie Window, and Skillet

Image
I have never been accused of being an organized person... well, that is not right, I have,  at work but at home,  FORGET it. I say that cause I went scanning my blogs to find when I blogged about these spikey things I  picked up at Hobby Lobby on clearance.....and you got it, I could not locate it. So I will go on with my post. These are the spikey things, I  got two, couple bucks each,  but when I saw them, I knew I wanted them for my yard, However, they were gold, I  don't do gold and I thought  a brighter color would work for  me.  PURPLE of coures had to be used, so spray painted one purple and the other  is yellow. Lily being Lily,  nosey. Now, Lily is not on the ledge cause she is  afraid of Emmy (daughters  dog) she is up there cause that is her place. Emmy however is not really sure what to make  of Lily. Anyway, I E6000 glued the  spikes on metal poles,  which are left over extenders for curtain rods. Yes, I tend to hold on to stuff that I think can become something else,
