Thoughts on the Kitchen

Been in my house 25 years.
I started the painting project on
the cabinets maybe around the 2nd
year here.

My son who would have been 7 or 8
helped with the stencil on the
cabinet doors.

And although I liked it then,
I am tired of it now and ready for
a change.

I am thinking that I will do the
bottom dark brown and
a tan on top.

What do you think of that idea?

Thanks for stopping in,

I have never tried painting cabinets but yours sure look lovely and I like the stencil leaf. I can't wait to see your cabinets painted the new darker color.

Hi Pam, I envy you all your cabinet space! I am cabinet deprived :) I can relate to wanting to change things up after a while. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery! I think your paint ideas will look beautiful. Such a big job! Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I'll be visiting again. Hope you have a good week! xx Karen

Sounds good. 25 years? Yeah, it's time for a freshening up.

I can understand getting tired of stenciling. And your idea sounds good. We had our kitchen redone a few years ago after having lived in our house about a comparable number of years (moved here in 1993). Small world? Eh? We had to have professionals do the work because we expanded the space.

Thank you for visiting my blog and it is nice to meet you. Your kitchen, with all the great storage, reminds me very much of one of my former kitchens. I like your idea of the two different colors for the cabinets. I watch a lot of HGTV and that is popular nowdays. I am stuck currently with oak cabinets which I hate BUT it is easier to polish them than to paint them! lol Have a great weekend. Hope you'll visit again soon.
It looks nice and you really do have a lot of great cabinets. Sometimes we are ready for a change. Maybe you can paint on section and live with them awhile and see if it's what you want! Hugs!
